Today i'd like to touch on some issues that have been concerning me and have been pressing in on my heart - for not a short time.
To begin the writing let me first draw your attention to a passage from 1st John as it will lay the platform and foundation for todays writing.
1st John 2:26 " These things have i written to you CONCERNING them that [SEDUCE] you.
Hence the title of the message - we now undertake.
If you have done any reading on church history and the early church then the one thing you should have cottoned onto, is this ~~ how much and how earnestly the early church fathers stood vehemently against seducers, decievers, heretics and heresy. !!
For example brethren ~~ take now this certain man, by the name of - Irenaeus, against heresies1:2 Error, indeed is never set forth in its naked deformity, lest, being thus exposed, it should at ONCE be DETECTED. But it is craftily decked out in in an attractive dress, so as, by its OUTWARD form, to make it appear to the inexperienced ( ridiculous as the expression may seem ) MORE TRUE THAN TRUTH ITSELF. !!!
WOW: what a mouthful to contemplate and consider
Now peter ALSO warned about damnable heresy being brought in -PRIVILY- [2ND PETER 2:1] and that by the false teachers who are to be found amongst us.
The word privily MEANING it largely goes unnoticed or detected.... hence Peter uses the word
The little epistle of Jude tells us that such [creep in unawares] and also we find in Galations chapter two - the author saying false brethren were brought in UNAWARES .... who came in privily to spy out our liberty in Christ.
To whom we gave subjection too: No not even for one hour ! That the truth of the gospel would by all means continue.
To the which Paul tells them straightly - now if there come any unto you preaching any [OTHER GOSPEL] than that we have preached unto you.
LET HIM BE ACCURSED ~~ AGAIN HE REPEATS THE WARNING, THAT IF ANY TEACH OTHERWISE TO WHAT WE HAVE TAUGHT YOU, THEN LET HIM BE TOTALLY ACCURSED. (Gal 1:7-8)
This same author informs the people of Galatia that there are such ...that would PERVERT the gospel - and trouble you.
And could wish before God that such - were even [CUT OFF].
THE WARNING GETS STRONGER: Though we, or an angel from heaven preach any OTHER thing - contrary to what WHICH WE HAVE PREACHED TO YOU, then let such be [Anathema]
For their be many today that preach another Jesus and another gospel, but is not another gospel at all ~~ it seeks to mimmick and masquerade itself as the authentic gospel.
If they introduce entertainment and allow worldly dancing routines on their platforms ~~ then it's another gospel they areannuncing ( reject it )
That is poison beloved and it is what i call [cross-contamination] this is mixture ( reject such and turn away ) shake the very dust from your feet and - as a testimony against them.
For such serve not our Lord Jesus at all -- but their own bellies and are enemies of the cross of Christ. ( you might well reply this is a strong call on your part) true but i stand by it !!
God is my witness, behold before God i lie not that those who promote such things are setting themselves up for to be judged.
Judgement begins at the house of God and with us with Annais and sapphira tempting the spirit of the Lord -- when God purges his house we don't trifle with holy things.
You might say - how can you say such things( just watch yourself there) HOW CAN I SAY SUCH THINGS EASY WATCH THIS: James says "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the [frienship with the world] is to be setting yourself up as [THE VERY ENEMY OF GOD] "
When God brought the children of israel out of egypt ( the house of bondage ) he charged them solemnly with these words " speak unto the children of israel Moses and say unto them ...after the doingS of Egypt, wherEin ye dwelt, shall ye [NOT] do: and after the doings of the land of canaan in the which i bring you into, shall ye [NOT] do; neither shall you walk in THEIR ORDINANCES (we don't lower the standard we raise and maintain )
DON'T LET THE BIG CHURCHES AND THE MEGA-SIZE CHURCHES SEDUCE YOU BRETHREN WITH ENTERTAINMENTS.
When they allow hip hop, break dancing, latino, african dancing, rapping, christian illusion artistry, ballet dance routines, christian comedy and stand-up, flame throwing and sword swallowing [ad- nauseam]
Keep yourselves unspotted from these things beloved ~~ do not consent to such, approve, or endorse, lest you be partaker of that same altar of activities.
The people tempted the Lord your God in the wilderness - when they sat down to eat and to drink ~~ and then they did what.... ROSE UP TO PLAY !!
It was festive, carnal, seducive and one big party atmosphere ~~ to the which Moses was disgusted and it made him sick to his veritable stomach ~~ smashing the tablets and made them to drink of the gold that was strawed.
Why ive heard "prophets" say they [grow horns] in the nite time services because the atmosphere is so festive - and so charged with excitement. The gist of that meaning being that the atmoshere is carnival like and charged with excitement.
Don't let them - that is ( the churches of today ) seduce you.... by this compromise !!
Young people don't get caught up and seduced by their [big screens] that allow violent video game play and console operation ~~ just because the pastors and the youth pastors sanction and permit such things. Contrast that game play with the advice of John in 1st john when he commended the young people for abstinence and for overcoming the world and the wicked one ~~ and you soon realize a whole bunch of seduction is going on. Check your children and what the youth pastors might be leading them into !
You say that's legalism -- well i beg to differ how can wasting time and violent video games filled with war, enchantments, sorcerey and even demons ~~ be a thing of legalism ?? ( you tell me - you who that object so )
Be not decieved and be not seduced beloved: let everyone that names the name of Christ ~~ "depart from INIQUITY" -- COME YE OUT FROM AMONGST THEM, BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD: AND BE YE SEPERATE FROM THE WORLD - AND THEN I WILL RECIEVE UNTO MYSELF ~~AS SON AND AS A DAUGHTER ( SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS ) !!
