One heart

"And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me." -Jeremiah 32:39-40

"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all." -Acts 4:31-33

These passages stood out to me this week and I wanted to share them with you all.

it's because there is no reverential fear of God in the West.

Amos 3v3 says, 'Can two walk together unless they are agreed?'

Chris, it's understandable why those scriptures stood out.

Jeremiah says 'I will give them one heart... meaning God will give them one heart.

We can ask for that, can't we?

In Acts, it was 'when they had prayed... an example for us to follow.

At the same time, it is all too easy to pray, get up, and then to follow our own agenda.

Of a truth, the west has no reverance for God whatsoever, only the fear of man.

When sodomites, abortionist, false religions, fornicators, etc, have the law of the land to back whatever they want, and churches are empty, then it proves that God is forgotten, or even unknown in the west.

I believe, that those who contribute to this forum, despite their differences, which can be removed with God's help, do fear and reverence God, and can beseech and beg God for revival.

If you have no tears for revival, still pray, they will come, because revival must come.

Can we have oneness apart from union with Christ?
What would oneness look like?

Like this? (vs 3,4)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests,
but also to the interests of others.

What is the reason that we might fail in these practises? (hint: go back to the beginning point)
