Dear Brethern,
\tI should hate to seem to use what limited time I have to extract that which is most precious for my own benefit, but I must say it is not so. I’ve just learned that my four year old nephew has been diagnosed with “strap pneumonia” (double pneumonia that has spread into the blood stream).
\tThe child’s name is Jeremiah, and he’s only four years old. I request that someone stand in agreement with me to intercede for Gods will to be done (whether that be full recovery or immediate eternal life with Christ, we’ll let him decide). I regret that I don’t have any learned words to move you with compassion, but I’ve seen this child lying lifeless on a hospital bed--a machine breathing for him--his body frail and weak.
Let us stand in the gap together, hands held with our heads bowed low, rushing the throne of mercy with petitions for the child.
