I don't listen to a lot of sermons. I like to read a lot more then listening to audios. IF, I had a #1 favorite, I wouldn't share. I wouldn't want to make my brother stumble with pride.

Hey Nile how do you know about Josef Urban?

Not sure I follow. Are you talking about the preacher?

He gets his message from God. My having a favorite should not be a reason for him to be prideful.

Would you elaborate please?

M

TJ, I think we exalt men way too much. I know some get their message from God, but, by lifting them up and saying they're my number 1 favorite is just exalting too much in man. We have a lot of young preachers doing that today. Exalting themselves, lifting themselves up with videos and cameras, ect...! It doesn't help toward humility by us lifting them up even farther.

I don't think theres anything wrong by saying, "I really like Paul washers preaching, but by putting them on a top 10 list is ridiculous and prideful, not helping our brother at all to remain humble.

Hey Nile how do you know about Josef Urban?

Only by the providence of God! I was looking at the recently commented sermons section of the main page one time and saw his sermon, "Warning to False Converts." The title sparked interest in me so I listened to it. It turned out to be one of the best gospel messages I have ever heard! I have it in mind to listen to the rest his messages that are on here when I get a chance.

How do you know of him?

TJ, I hope your not mad at me. I couldn't tell by your last response.

A lot of christians do not realize how much they have exalted men. How much they look up to man more than God, and not believe God can do the same or even more in them.

I've just been around a lot christians who put preachers up like an idol. They Love what their preaching about, but what really gets me is that these people don't take heed to the preacher's words or else we would have revival among the remnant!

Many look at these preachers like a lovely play or song( entertainment).

It reminds me of some verses in Ezekiel

Ezekiel 33:30-33 (

Hearing and Not Doing

30 “As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses; and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes from the LORD.’ 31 So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. 32 Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them. 33 And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

This group will be more accountable on judgement day than the harlot church thats for sure. We boast we know the truth and how much we love what these godly men say, but where are we truly at right now?

For the harlot church will rise up agaist this group on judgement day if they don't wake up from their slumber and be totally revived! Because they are surrounded with so much truth!

I'm not mad...sorry you thought that.

I just want to hear some good messages that others have enjoyed.

I could not care any less than I do about who God chose to deliver it.

They just happen to be listed by speaker on this site.

We are doing our best not to exault anyone but God

It all about the message...not the man.

I was very guilty of this at one time! It was a tremendously grace when God showed me my hypocrisy.

What an amazing passage!!! Thank you so much for pointing this out!

OH seems the link to Sermon On The Mount (video) by Keith Daniel does not work. Would really like to see it

hmmhmm Apr 20, 2007

i don't know why it doesn't work, i checked the link it is correct, so something else is wrong, ill send a message to the moderators, it truly is an awesome sermon, he preaches the entire sermon on the mount Matt 5-7 , and i think he does it from memory! then he opens up this text, and expounds on "the salt of the earth", truly a life changing sermon if taken to heart.

ok,
the message that was heart-wrenching for me was called "Breaking Faith with God" by Richar owen roberts.i haven't heard any of Paris Reidhead's message. but i tell you this, i have heard a lot of Ravenhill messages and bless the brother, i get a lot from him. but, the Holy Spirit somehow profoundly touched me with the story about Moses from this brother.
i remember, when i wept and wept like a baby when he said, " i have a word from the Lord", and i hear him saying that and it still affects me. most here will question with his theology but i haven't een any contradiction of what he says from the Bible. (not to mention a true humble heart and a Spirit that wants to honor God) "Seek My Face" may be downloaded a lot- but i will always cherish the message about Moses more.

The Meaning of the Cross - Paul Washer
The Immensity of God - Denny Kenaston
Self Denial - Keith Green
Except Ye Repent - Paris Reidhead
Clothed in Righteousness - Paul Washer
The Joy of Giving It All - Paul Washer
I think the sermons that have changed me the most are the ones that emphasize the glory and greatness of God. I've been listening to a lot of the Attributes of God series by Denny Kenaston and am completely taken aback at the overwhelming majesty of our Father in Heaven. The greater He becomes in our lives, the more amazing and humbling is His grace towards us.

I hadn't visited the forums in a while, and although I read the conversations posted on this subject, I know the preaching of the Word is one of the five fold ministries God gave for the perfecting of the church, and I love the Word. So here are my top ten, and wow, was it hard to narrow it down!
1. A Call to Anguish-David Wilkerson
2. Life and Death Struggle, Which Will You Serve-Teresa Conlon
3. The Prodigal Church-BH Clendennen
4. The Devil's Nightmare-Carter Conlon
5. A Way Through The Wilderness-George Warnock
6. Hell, No Exits-Leonard Ravenhill
7. Run For Your Life-Carter Conlon (preached 9/16/01
8. Satan in the Holy Place-BH Clendennen
9. Holy Spirit Come Back To Your Church-David Wilkerson
10. When the Serpent Bites Your Hand-Carter Conlon
11. God's Provision for Holiness-BH Clendennen
(Okay, I couldn't narrow it down to just 10)
I would just add that all of the speakers above would not allow men to exalt them. They hide behind the cross and are vocal about keeping our eyes on Christ and off flesh, including our own. :-)
