What did Jesus mean by saying 'You are the salt"?

An American generation is now among us which will never worship the living God on any day of the week.

If America remains a Christian nation, even another two hundred years, it will happen by God’s great revival through believers. You must realize, America’s spiritual rescue comes from the living God through none other than you – for you are assigned to provision God’s mercy and grace to dwell upon this land. We Christians are the salt of this nation.

Pray daily for civic leaders in America. Pray our leaders live for Christ so we remain the Christian nation of our heritage. There is an increased change in American leadership this day. Many now proclaim boldly and publicly they are Atheist, Muslim or Mormon. Jesus said – “When the salt loses its saltiness, what is it good for?” See the division working in our land?

The Bible warns us, along with this change we are set to witness the most horrible acts of lawlessness among any nation or any period in human existence.

Get on your knees and pray America.

Our pastor has often said that a person does not know what they are capable of if they get out from under the hand of God. This is true for a nation also. The West and North America in particular is far from perfect. Much wickedness has come from here. But the great evil of our times is false religion. And this is what is [i]coming in[/i] to America threatening to change the whole of our culture. We can thank the teachings of evolution and its falsehood for much of what is happening and has happened. Ravi Zacharias points this out often. People raised with no meaning.

Again, folk need to be born again and we know this. But I still say we are better of seeing the tide of degredation slowed in our lands than to sit back using the need for regeneration as an excuse not to be salt and light. We need to pray for all in authority that we may lead a quiet and peacable life. Much of our lives are directly influenced by decisions made by our leaders.
