I listened to this hymn today, and thought the words so plain and simple. The simplicity of true gospel instruction. O for the old paths to come alive once again. If contemporary churchiology won't stand for it, at least I can demonstrate the old paths in my own life, in my devotion to God and as a light to those who are perishing. May our lives burn with the torches of gospel holiness!
Let us all again become like little children, and:
Do no sinful action,
Speak no angry word;
Ye belong to Jesus,
Children of the Lord.
Christ is kind and gentle,
Christ is pure and true;
And His little children
Must be holy, too.
There’s a wicked spirit
Watching round you still,
And he tries to tempt you
To all harm and ill.

To resist the evil,
And the good to do.

In your infant days,
To renounce him wholly,
