God is Doing a New Thing

I am very excited that I received Warnock's works today. I sent the ministry a letter a little while ago and today I receieved 12 books, for free! I am excited to get into them soon. The first one I looked in, entitled "Evening and Morning" had this to say in the Preface:"This is the particular emphasis of this writing, and one that we believe is very needful in this hour. God is doing a NEW THING in the earth, and man's attempt to re-establish some religious structure of the past, useful as it may have been in another day, is vain and futile. Truth is unchangeable... as unchangeable as the Living Christ, who is indeed the Way, the Truth, and the Life. But Truth has been planted in the earth, to CHANGE to people of God, and to lead them forward and upward into the ever-unfolding desires of His own heart."I don't know the copyright date because it doesn't say in this edition. anyone know when he wrote this?also i found the quote relevant for the forum survey.

Evening and Morning was written in 1979, but there is no copyright on any of his books. I'm surprised you got 12 books -- he's written 13. Did you receive Seven Lamps of Fire?

Thanks for the info. I got a note in with the books explaining that "Who Are You" is on back order. the note didn't say when they expected to receive more in or how to get a hold of that one. but I am assuming by the time i read through these 12 (if i do) i should be able to obtain a copy of it if i really want to, right? any recommendations?but yes, i did receive "Seven Lamps of Fire". they also sent me a 13th book by T. Austin Sparks called "Faith Unto Enlargement Through Adversity" probably to make up for the one on back order. I am excited about that one too. What (if any) is Warnock's connection to Sparks?

Thanks for the links Greg. I was so blessed just now by Part 1 of the series. It follows the book very closely. That was the first time I have ever done that (read and listened at the same time) and it was pretty cool. This was also my first complete SParks sermon I have listened to I think. Now I am confident it won't be my last. After this first experience, I am highly anticipating my next sermon of his.

Sparks' books are actually taken from his sermons -- they are more transcripts of his sermons than anything else. The connection is minimal; I don't think they ever met, and Warnock told me he has only read one of Sparks' books.
