Transylvania Tent Meeting Sermons...

Here in the mountains of NC it's tent meeting time again! If you remember a few weeks ago I posted threads about how Transylvania County stood up to the ACLU concerning prayer before the County Council meetings.

Well, this week they are having Tent Meetings (the churches, not the County Council) right in the middle of town, hallelujah! They are being broadcasted over the internet, and I am recording them on my computer (while we are there)... you can either listen on line, [b]or email me and I'll email you the mp3 of the sermons.[/b]

It may take me a week or so to send them because I have to set my computer to record the service... and then we drive up there to the meeting... and then come home and stop the recording. So I have to edit out everything on the broadcast before and after the meeting is broadcasted.

I'm recording it both for my benefit, and for my brothers and sisters on this forum who would like to hear the good preaching we're getting here in the country.

Last night was an incredible sermon on the Holy Spirit.

I'd love to share this with y'all! Even if only one person wants to listen, I'll still edit them and send them on.

It's great stuff tho. And if you listen close, my wife and I are there every night... you might hear us yelling "Amen!"...

Does EST stands for Eastern Standard Time? How many hours behind GMT is that?

Although I would find a written version easier (have a poor memory of spoken words); do you know if its possible to get transcripts of the talks?

I dont know how far behind y'all we are... but we're in the same time zone as New York, so if you can figure out the difference between London and New York, you'll have it.

Well, we dont have any vampires, but we do have a lot of rednecks and wild animals. Surprisingly, the people who settled this area 200 years ago were mostly of Scotch-Irish heritage. Not sure how it ended up being named "Transylvania".

ok... I editted last nights sermon down to 6 parts, the largest being 18 meg. Not sure how to get them any smaller.

Tonight I'll try to lower the quality on the audio capture to see if that will make any difference on tonights sermon.

Anyway... they're set to go.

Last night the radio station airing the tent meeting services this week was having technical difficulty and was not able to broadcast last nights.

I'll see if they have a taped recording of it, but for now... no message from last evening.

I'm going to try to listen to the broadcast tonight. I listened to the message on the Holy Spirit today and it was really good. I can see why Krispy is 'pumped'. :-)
