What is the answer to get victory over sin in ones life? :-?
we already have victory because of blood of Jesus
now it is living in His power, which come from prayer. So confessing the sin, asking Christ to free with His power, Pray pray and pray the word,
Fight with the word

Oooh! Sneaky question, but Charlene (AwakenWithin) is right.
But I find studying the fruits of the Spirit, and attempting to practice them helps cut down on how often I sin. I just wish my body would leave me alone, and stop pretending it is alive when I know it's dead.
Patience, humility, kindness, endurance, joy, peace, and love all help you to not sin. I did a word study on each through the Bible, and listened to a lot of good teachers on the subjects, and it all helped.
But most of all, there is the Holy Spirit, who teaches us, chastises us, and comforts us all at the same time.
Ask for help...I do, a lot!

reading, studying, praying, talking with other christians which eventually will give you the information we need. When we realize what JESUS went through on the cross and it was ACTUALLY our sins that got paid for and we realize what he thinks about sin, we will sin less. We want be sinless so speak in a total perfect walk AS WE WOULD DESIRE TO. We will be sinless in that he took away all our previous sin nailing them to the cross.
When we were saved he put HIS HOLY SPIRIT in our mortal bodies.
Eph 1:12-14
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory.

That SPIRIT is the driving force that causes us to want to and also to do HIS good pleasure which is not to sin and to be HIS witnesses.
2 Cor 5:21
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

What is the answer to get victory over sin in ones life?
We have victory because of Christ. But we don't realize that we have victory! Christ has made that possible for us to have the victory over sin, but we must crucify our flesh daily and know that we will always have to deal with sin. That is why we must pray and study everyday, have atleast one brother in the Lord that you can talk with, you can trust. It is so important not to be an island. The enemy wants you to be alone. Remember we have and Advocate!!

love the Lord with all your heart, your soul, and your mind. and love your neighbor as yourself.
dear leem, all the answers below by everyone is right. in loving God supremely and loving others you will do all of the things others listed. you will trust God, crucify the flesh by the Spirit's power, you will humble yourself and receive grace and mercy from the Holy One.
"for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. and this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith". (1 john 5:4)
most of all know that you died with Christ and the old man is rendered inoperative. therefore reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to Christ. trust that the Holy Spirit will teach you and lead you in all righteousness and holiness unto God. say yes to Christ and no to the enemy. :-)
