Online Bible Degrees

I am interested in taking some online classes to work towards a degree in Bible or Ministry. I have 7 awesome children, so conventional classes are out. My desire is to write some day so that I may stay home. Just thinking a "degree" will help legitimize my writing. God has put it on my heart to work from home so I can teach my kids. If any of you have any ideas regarding this path other than school, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I greatly appreciate your post. Allow me to share my own observations, if they might be of use to you. The best Bible degree you can get comes through spending time alone with God and His Word and I have heard that called getting your "AUG degree". This comes from Paul to Timothy, "be diligent to present yourself approved unto God (AUG) as a workman to God who does not need to be ashamed, rightly diving the Word of Truth!" As for degrees, if God is telling you that he wants to use a degree in your life, then you must obey, but otherwise, the best and brightest of Christianity is full of men who have never had a degree. Think of naming Moody Bible Institute after a man who had only a third-grade education! If you are writing something for God, no degree will ever legitimize your writing. Your reason for going to school must be something other than that. God wants to use you today!

Thank you for the encouragement. I was hesitant to post the request because I greatly feel the same way. There is no better study then in the word of God. Keep me in prayer, I truly desire to work from home to be with my family more. My desire is to train Godly seed.
