I am looking for a couple different methods of converting audio cassettes to digital files such as mp3 ect…
My mechanic has some old Percy Ray revival messages on tape that he wants to convert
(A godly mechanic is hard to find, so you gotta keep’ em happy)

Hey, fellow NC-ian ... would you mind if I piggy back (or whatever ya call it) your thread.
For some reason I can't reply to PMs or start new threads.... (why I'm riding your thread here).
I don't really need or want to start a thread ... but I don't want anyone who's PMed to think that I am ignoring their kindnesses.

Quick Fix - maybe change browser to see if that solves it,
ex.) if on Explorer download Mozilla's Firefox ?

I'm a bit hesitant to change anything more, cuz it's hard to teach this old human new tricks.
Ya know, I "think" it may be a pop-up blocker or something.

First on the off-topic topic: I believe it's probably the pop-up blocker. Try holding down shift or control with you click the pm button - that might work.
Now for an amazing double-hitchhike move: Where in NC are you guys? I'm in Raleigh. Does anyone know of any good churches in Raleigh?

I think I have a good handle on Analog Cassette tape conversion process to mp3
For those curious,
since I didn't have audio input on my computer, iMic 2 was a cheap$30 way to get sound into the computer via RCA jack
(you can plug the opposite end of the jacks to the headphone outlet of the cassette player)
; It also came with a good recording program called Final Vinyl,
just record, delete, & splice what you need & save file;
It is a heafty aiff file so, Audacity (Free) was the program use to shrink a 1 hr message ( 600MB) down to 10MB MP3 (@ 24 bits)
