Looking for a tape series

I know that Mario Murillo is considered to be a controversial figure, but I'm looking for his "How to Change a Nation" tape series. Does anyone have a set that they'd be willing to copy, loan, or sell?

Have you searched on his ministry's website (although I am not certain that he has a website)? If that doesn't work, you might want to try Ebay or Half.com.

As a young teen, I was very moved by many of his messages. His messages were not the typical TBN fare that you would expect. It would be interesting to see how I feel now.

Mario used to be a regular on TBN (I don't watch much TBN, but I've never seen him on when flicking channels). I'd say he's part of the Word of Faith movement, but more on the outskirts rather than right in the middle.

Also, some folks disagree with his teachings on revival, and the like.

I've been to the website and have asked Mario directly (through his forum and email), but he doesn't have a copy, or it's buried away somewhere.

I've checked places like eBay off and on, but have never found it. I thought maybe a place might have someone that has a copy. Who knows, maybe sent a copy to Greg, and he chose not to put it on SI. :)

I have not seen or heard him in the last few years...

I know when I was young he used to speak at our church and youth camps... I wasn't really thrilled with him at that time...
but..
something must have happened in his life, and when I heard him about 15 years ago, there was a brokenness and a humility of spirit. I have had a change of heart and attitude regarding him...

I was straightforward with him and told him the difference I saw and the brokenness of spirit. He was touched by that honesty and thankful that I wasn't afraid to tell him.

I have not watched TBN for a couple of years now, so I could not tell you if he is ever on there anymore...

Mario and his wife divorced about 15 years ago. He remarried, and his second wife left him. Now he and his first wife have been reconciled and have remarried. (You can read the whole story at http://www.mariomurillo.com/ The article says 14 years ago, but I believe it was written last year.)

But that lines up with your timing of his brokenness.

The actual year that I am referring to was end of '93 beginning of '94.....so most definetly that was the time...

and he and his first wife have reconciled? That is astounding to me.

He had so ministered to my life, back then, that I had written him two very indepth letters...but never sent them.

I badly wanted him to know that the Power of God upon him, had become evident and he was like a new person...it was as tho I was not even listening the same man I had remembered years earlier, in my teenage days.

I remember watching him on TBN one night at about 2 A.M. He was preaching some very hard truths that I was surprised to hear on TBN (mostly concerning the false teachings found on certain television "ministries" such as TBN). He preached against the modern prosperity message and the flagrant excesses of many "TV evangelists."

I didn't know anything about his personal situation. He will definitely be in my prayers.

once I saw the arrogance had vanished and a true sense of the humility of Christ arose from him, I was so blessed and moved by his ministry.

I love what God does in our lives, when we have abandoned all for Him. He has the one and only perfect plan for us to Glorify His Name.
