You know ? I've seen that picture before but immediately upon looking at it this time, at the lion, I saw two pictures at once.
The one intended by the artist of course, but also saw 'The Lion' of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, coming for those at the end of these days and those who 'stand' strong enough to pray for others.

The picture was a sober blessing. Thank you. I've been thinking lately about what it may be to endure such persecution, and ironically enough, nothing gives me strength to endure like considering the victorious suffering of both the Savior and the martyrs.
