Does any one know any good program to shrink the file size of a sermon. I am not having any luck finding one because I don't really know what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless, Adam

hi Adam,
if you have no luck, let me know which sermons, and the range of file size that you are looking for and i will shrink it and upload it somewhere on the web so you can download it. what you are looking for essentially is something that reduces what's called the sampling rate(bit rate) of the audio. there's a tool called audacity, free tool to do that, but might be a little bit complicated in doing it if you have never done it in other programs. all you have to do is open the file in audacity, then save project, then "export" menu under File, then choose MP3 type, go to option, and choose a smaller bit rate- the smaller the bit rate, the smaller the file size is going to be. hope it helps. the website for the free program audacity is here: [url=http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/]audacity
by the way, you can also use the tool to do bunch of other things such as mix tracks, clean noise out, cut it into diffrent segments etc.
Unless I am missing something, monysaudio doesn't compress mp3s. Is there an add on I need to do?
hi Adam, would this help? i did some pictures of step by steps in audacity and uploaded it to my yahoo account.[url=http://briefcase.yahoo.com/meharene@verizon.net]LINKY
Whoops I guess Monkey's Audio will not work for mp3s.
