Brother give this link a look as well as this site.

Also browse around in their bookstore

I would reccomend "The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination" by Lorraine Boettner. It has some very good Scriptural insights into the sovereignty of God.
If you are interested, here is a link to a great set of messages, scroll down a bit and you will find The Sovereignty of God as a topic, as well as The Sovereignty of God and responsiblity of man

I'd say John Piper's stuff. He doesn't preach as if it's just 'head-knowledge' he preaches from the heart.

Suffering and the Sovereignty of God (10$)

The Legacy of Soverign Joy (10$)

The Supremacy of God in Preaching(8.90$)

**A word of wisdom. Let's have a just balance (Proverbs 16:11). Don't forget that His Sovereign Power sometimes works THROUGH YOU and your responsible. Without those 2 principles, your in danger of falling into an extreme and thats detestiable to the Lord (Pro. 11:1; 20:23)

Hi Lovegrace
Thanks for the recommendation I went to Dr Pipers' website tonight and listened to a message called "Sustained by the Sovereign Grace of God" and the passage was from Jeremiah 32.I am happily speechless right now and will need to listen further.I'd love to hear him talk about Romans,Wow what a teacher,God speaks thru this gentleman in astonishing ways,My friend Nick has told me of Dr Piper before and I never got round to listening to Him,but I'm glad I did,God so encouraged me tonight,Thank you Jesus and also thank you Lovegrace for your kindness in recommending him and your appropriate comment at the end of your post.
Blessings
Brian :-)

I strongly recommend reading John Piper's sermon series on Romans. His site has those in written form for note taking and cross reference. It is a long series of sermons and is very comprehensive.

Piper is the only one I've found that teaches Calvinism from the heart but in the Spirit of love, gentleness, and humility. Be blessed.

Thanks... I will check it out. I hope to grow in these qualities. These I believe to be foundational values for the kingdom.
