The Love that is not seen.

A young couple loved each other greatly, according to this Story. He was a sargent in the army, she worked in an office. The love they had was somthing esepcional. One day she had an accident that left her blind. This was a great tragedy for the couple. The young wife was very afected realising she had lost the presious gift of sight, and this led her to a great state of depression. She felt as if she wasn't worth anything, as if her life had ended.
But little by little, with the special care of her husband, she began to recuperate. The time came when she was able to do some work at her old job. She liked this very much, but was afraid of going to her job alone. So the loving husband began to accompany her to her job daily. Later in the evening he waited for her outside the building and they both took the bus home.
One day, the husband told her that she needed to go to her job, but without him. He assured her that she could do it. At the begining she tought that it was imposible, but in the end, she desided to do it. The day came, she trembled inside. What would happen to her without her beloved husband? She could get lost or be hit by a car and have an accident! These toughts filled her mind with fear. In a given moment she felt resentment towards her husband for not understanding her fears and for making her do somthing that frightened her. Nevertheless, she got on the Bus after her husband tenderly kissed her. For her surprise she did not have any problems. Days past and she reestablish her interupted life. She felt confident, optimistic and happy.
The Bus driver knew that blind young Laidy whom every day he carried in his vehicle. One day he told her: "You are a very privilleged woman" , "why so you say that?", she said back.
The driver told her: "Everyday, a young Sargent gets in this Bus with you and walks behind you until you enter the building in wich you work at, later in the afternoon he waits for you outside the building and walks behind you until you enter this Bus". What a love that her husband had for her. He never abandoned her. This filled her with a grat joy and gratitude.
We, as well, many times fell lonly, somethimes we even think that our beloved in heaven does not understand what we are going through. But we can be sure that even though we can't see him, his eyes are on top of us continually. He is present even though we can't see him. We are important to him. He loves us even though our limitations do not allow us to see him.
God Bless.

this is a very beautiful illustration of our Christ who is our Husband.

Thank you for sharing it and for being tender hearted toward The Body of Christ.

Answering two of your threads in this one.

Brother, the Unity factor only comes when two people have the "same Spirit" in them.

2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Spiritual things are discerned through the Spirit.
I find that this generation depends on intellect more than the Spirit to interact with each other or to dialoge in the things of GOD.
Also there is a "competitive spirit" in the church. Very hard to discern in oneself, except to take EVERY THOUGHT captive .... questioning our motives for what we do "for GOD" or even "for others".
That's the heart of man ~ pride = self.

Those things are "another spirit".

We are just to reach out the hand of brotherly love and friendship to others .... they decide if they'll take that friendship to heart as something precious or leave it.

Yet, our cry must always be that of Jesus' in Jn 17, that we may be one as He and the Father 'are' One.

Whatever folks do with your extended hand is up to them.

When GOD burns off all of the dross in the days ahead, then the true Saints will appreciate hearing from or seeing ANY person who reaches out to them in His Love.
Right now, we are too picky of 'who' we will fellowship with. One may not be intellectual enough for one or because of smaller doctrinal matters, they leave that person's company. SAD !

You could risk your life and reputation to protect one that has said they are Christian and within days they may turn on you.

Just except that as a part of life and don't let it quench love.

The LORD told me about 3 years ago, to gird up my heart, for many will "fall away and betray each other to death". I'm a deep 'feeler' and can't change that ... so when He said that, it hurt to the very core in almost a physical way.

The heart of man is like that of either Cain or Abel.

Why did Cain kill his brother ?

LORD BLESS YOU RICHLY LiveforGod.
Stay in His tender Love and like the few others - keep preaching love, because it was said that in John's old age, he said only, "Love one another".
Like ce4 said last nite and I replied ... Keep at it because 'we' need this Love message more than anything. I know I do. I want us to be one, but no matter if you'd lay down your life, etc., for others, they may still reject you .... but Love anyways.

Thank you ! Good work !

Tank's for the response GrannieAnnie. Those things wich you said are very true. Let's pray to God that there would be more men and women of Prayer that would touch God. This World needs more of him because everyday they go further and further away from God. Let's do our part and God will do his and bring a Revival for his Name's Sake. So that he alone would be Gloryfied. God bless. Brother Sammy.
