Tag me Lord Jesus

BrokenOne Jun 30, 2007

It was early in the morning, just barely daylight. I took a different route to work than usual. As I neared the railroad track that runs through town, I saw the lights begin to flash and heard the unmistakable sound of an approaching train. I stopped at the track and watched the freight cars go by. I rolled the window down so I could hear the rhythmic clacking of the train as it passed. My eyes were drawn to the colorful graffiti that decorated most of the cars and my mind drifted back to a documentary I had seen years ago about the emergence of graffiti as a kind of artwork. I remembered that they had called it “tagging” and that each “tagger” had their own unique style that made their graffiti original. Almost like a signature, imprinting the identification of its creator. And then I thought about the Lord Jesus – how He desires for me to carry His signature on my life so that when anyone looks at me, they see His imprint. The desire to have this become the reality of my life began to burn within me and with tears I cried out “Tag me Lord Jesus. Sign your name on my life.”

In Acts Chapter 4, the rulers of the people of Israel took Peter and John into custody to question them. Verse 13 says “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”

When people look at me what do they see? Do they see someone who has been with Jesus? Do they recognize His signature upon my life?

Prayer: Tag me Lord Jesus. Make me so entirely your own, so markedly identifiable as yours, that there will be no mistaking whose I am. When people look at me, I pray that they will not marvel at my accomplishments, my education or my success, but that they will take note that I have been with You.

Amen ce4, Broken one does have a gift and I'm sure her head won't get swelled if we tell her.

I read more than I post and there are so many gifted people on this Forum, I just sit back AMAZED. And usually, it's the ones like y'all, that don't say as much, but when you do, Wow!

Thinking here of many ... Tears_of_Joy, Medki, Roniya, Nellie, and so many others, and that's just some of the ladies, my memory is just filled with them all, male & female, but you get my drift .... this is such a wonderfully varied group, that I can't even list everyone, it's impossible.
But I watch for posts by these who are seemingly quieter (unlike active me - to put it nicely.
I admire these traits that I lack -- > ), because of the richness, meekness and LOVE presented in their posts. Like you too ce4 & Thanks Broken one !!!

Beautiful. Lets seek him more and more and the more we walk with him the more we will be like him. What a great privilage to life in such a way that the entire world would know that you are Christ's son or daughter. There is nothing in this World more glorious than to be called his Child. Let us pray day and night that souls would glorify God with such a passion as they once hated him.

A person is really praying when he is so filled with God that he dosn't notice that he is praying

Ha, have you ever tried typing with a intsy-bintsy kitten on your lap. Hoy-Vey -- arm biting and all. Haaa!

Anyhow, I'm trying to type that, I agree again.

Also to say, because of some (?) setting on my computer, I can't utilize some of the buttons on here ... like starting a new thread and replying to PMs etc., but I'm trying to manage without those. I feel sort of "shy" about starting new threads anyways .... but sure am 'glad' that the LORD has led those who have to do so.

Also, Ooops, Tears_of_Joy, I'm sorry "brother".

Meekness is a beautiful thing, and I envy those here that spill that virtue over onto our monitors. I pray they never let anything hinder them from posting. I come here to GROW in the qualities that most of you all have.
I may come off Censorious at times, but then I lay in bed and almost & sometimes cry that my posts sounded even a wee bit corrective, nonetheless out-rightly so. So all I can do is pray for the other person after that - with all my heart.

Thank you all for excepting me too.

That is why I look for certain posters, who have these traits/virtues that are not my strong points. I WANT TO GROW and only GOD knows how badly I do.

It's also great that we can pray one for another here. AMEN !!!

I just want to see this whole gang in Heaven on That Day. I can't wait ... probably too much sometimes. Getting more Homesick instead of less.

I know you all understand. Like the Song of Solomon ... she was sick with Love and searched with all her might to find her Beloved to be with Him.

Bless you all - terrifically!
Thank you again Broken One & others.
