What a Christian giant has left us but only for a while. I remember early in my Christian life when I first heard a sermon by him how dumbstruck I was by its power and how it was so unlike the other sermons one heard.
I thank God that Art helped to clarify and bring into focus and clarity again what the office of a prophet and its function really is versus the gift of prophecy. But that's only a small part of his legacy. Fiercely uncompromising he leaves a challenge for us all. It's interesting that in his last year here with us I had been drawn back to his teachings and eschatological insight. It would do us all well to study it and try and understand it and then to be prepared.
