Meditations on Abiding

Child will you abide in Me
From all distractions learn to flee
To seek Me with an upturned face
And nurture in the secret place
A heart desiring none but Me
And seeking with a heartfelt plea
To linger in the presence of
The Holy God of grace and love
Can you rest and still your mind
And learn that I am where you’ll find
The help you need to overcome
The peace to rest when all is done
And letting Christ be all your life
You’ll be unmoved by fear and strife
For in Him there is perfect rest
And strength to endure every test
When Christ becomes your all in all
There is no fear that you will fall
For He upholds those who are His
Whose lives are yielded all to Him
And He is able in that day
To keep your feet firm in His way
Though there is much you need to learn
I’d rather that you truly yearn
To submit your life and to become
Surrounded by the Mighty One
Who alone will meet each need
When you yield to abide indeed

Oh my child won’t you abide
And stay in the secret place of My presence
There is no need to come in and go out
When I desire a continual dwelling

Of God you are already in Christ
This is the position I have provided for you
By faith enter in to what I have already given
And enjoy the blessing of unbroken fellowship

Does it seem too good to be true?
Does it seem too high to attain?
Look not to your own efforts or strength
But at My ability to keep the yielded one in Me

With each new day look unto Me
As your source as your strength
Only yield and I will keep your life
Hidden with Christ in God

Thank you sister, for such a beautiful, but yet convicting and encouraging expression of our Lord's longing to draw and keep us abiding n Him.

Jesus has provided for us the place of continual revival and renewal. Abiding in Him. John 15 is the authoritative and exclusive prescription for revival from the author of life Himself.

So simple, so full of Him and so devoid of myself.

This poet understands victorious life in Christ.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;
