For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
In our society most deceptions do not enter through the front door of our churches saying "I am a deception?". Like Denny Kensengton said "The Greatest deception is self deception"
I am critising myself! I have probably been decieved in times past but what effect does that have on our church
2 Peter 3:3-7
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Are we to stand up for Jesus and for the truth of the bible even if it costs us our own lives! or are we to sit back and let our society get more profane and do nothing about it.
Nehemiah had to get Tobiah out of the temple to cleanse the temple from evil as it had gotten into the church.
What other things have sneaken into our churches unannouned.
Should we not fight for the purity and sanctity of our churches, homes and let not anything into our houses that is ungodly.
If our bodies are a temple of the holy spirit, what about the places where we live our bedrooms.
DO we have dodgy posters up on the wall.
How can we tell the world about Jesus when we have evil lying in our front rooms.
