How to use this site

Hi. I am new here, and very inept at mechanical or computer things. Could someone tell me how to download an audio sermon, or a group of audio sermons? I cannot figure it out.
Thanks!

Normally, you can right click on the title of the message and a little menu will pop up. Highlight "save target as" and make sure you are saving them to a folder that is easy to find such as "my music".

Wait for it to finish downloading, and you're all set.

Welcome to the site! :-D

When I right click on a title, the following options open up:

Open link in new window
open link in new tab
bookmark this link
save link as
send link
copy link location
properties
send to (gives only 3 locations that are Ugaritic to me)
page links

But there is no place it says "save target as".

And it seems so complicated.
I was hoping to save many sermons to my computer so when the internet goes down i can then still listen to them. People like Tozer, Ravenhill, Reidhead, Washer.

Thanks alot for your help!

Sonja,

Click on "save link as" then name the file (it can be any name) and end it with ".mp3"
Make sure to take note of where you are downloading the file to! I usually download things to my desktop.

Yep nile is right, this the way. It only says "save target as" if you're using an Explorer browser.

Thanks!

I was able to do it this way, but the complications of it, and need to completely re-label once it is into my audio program make it impossible for me to do very many this way, but only a few.

I found a different site much easier, where push a button, and then one more button, and I had it all in my computer properly labeled and everything. But that other site does not have the selection this site does.

This also will not permit me to do a group of sermons together, as I had hoped.

But thank you very much for your help!
It is greatly appreciated!

Welcome, sister! It's good to have you here. :-)

Are you using Firefox? I use it most of the time except for downloading sermons from S.I. and then I switch to Internet Explorer so I can label my downloaded messages more effectually. Perhaps someone has more experience with downloading sermons on Firefox and can explain how to do it like it's done on Internet Explorer? That would be helpful for me. :-)

Blessings,
Joy

Welcome Redsonja,

I see you live in Ft. Wayne, I live in Leo-Cedarville which is just out of Ft. Wayne.

Hope you'll be blessed by this site as much as I have been.

I use the add-on "Down-them-all" and it allows me to rename the file and select a location.

Right now, due the the amount of material on the site, it's not feasible to go through and name every file.

I've been downloading sermons from here since 2004 and I just make sure I name ever file I download.

Joy!

Thank you.
Yes, I have been using Firefox.
I will try the other to see if it is any easier.
Also, I loved your two sayings at the bottom: I have been utterly destitute, and one of my standard life-cries has been for years: "Father...whatever it takes!" I want to go through the fire now so that when I meet face to face Him who is the Devouring Fire (Heb 10), by that time there will be nothing left that is burnable, but all that is left will be precious in His sight.

Again, Thank you!
Anna

Thank you!
We are looking for a church; if you have any suggestions they would be very welcome.
Thank you!

Dear RedSonja

In reading your reply to Joy it brought to mind a song God gave me in prayer on July 20, of this year ...

As I come into your presence
Into the Holy and Divine,

May my heart cry Abba Father
Not my will but thine,

As I seek your Holy Spirit
Come and fill me now I pray,

Consume me in your fire
and only that of God remain.

Your Sister in Jesus,
Coffee

Yes! I've also been meditating upon the preciousness of the trial of our faith and all that our Father takes us through to conform us to His image.

Coffee's words sum it up well:

Consume me in your fire
and only that of God remain.

Wonderful words...

Sister Anna, you might check out Keith Daniel's schedule. He is speaking in Shipshewana, IN on October 29-31. If you haven't listened to his sermons yet I recommend that you do so soon! His message of holiness and God's Word has had a tremendous impact on my life.

Blessings,
Joy :-)

Hi Anna,

I don't have any great ones right now. We attend a small holiness church in Tocsin, which is in Northern Wells County. Although it's not perfect, there are some great things about it, like a real heart for evangelism.
