Loneliness

To truly follow "hard after God" (per Tozer), it is a very lonely experience. To only want to talk of Him...while others. especially in the Church, want to talk about anything but Him- this is a difficult and lonely walk. However, as those know who have been broken (in will, not in spirit) know so well, He truly comes along side us in our loneliness and makes it all well again. And frankly, even if He did not, I would still follow hard after Him, each moment of each day...

HE is always beside you, ever with you,
able to help and strengthen you. Delight
yourself in His fellowship, you won't
mind the difficulty and loneliness at
all!! :-D

Have you ever read Habakkuk? Consider his testimony found in chapter 3:16- 19: (esp. v. 17-19. NASB):

I heard and my inward parts trembled,
At the sound my lips quivered
Decay enters my bones,
And in my place I tremble
Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress,
For the people to arise who will invade us.
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom
And there be no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive should fail
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be no cattle in the stalls,
18 Yet I will exult in the LORD,
I will rejoice in the (AU)God of my salvation.
19 The Lord GOD is my strength,
And He has made my feet like hinds' feet,
And makes me walk on my high places.

Blessings,
