We are very excited (especially Arielle). Koo Chung is an artist (singer/guitarist/producer)that we have seen in concert last year. Arielle has kept in contact with him over this time through his message board, etc... He is a great guy!He has been touring and wants to do a concert in the Cinci. area so Arielle has volunteered to find a place for the concert and promote it. (with the help of Mom and Dad!:)Arielle has had many dreams about her music and how the Lord will use her. I just pray that everything falls into place and she gets to get some great insight first hand. There is so much that goes into the whole concert and the promotion. We would love to fill the church (seats 800) but we live almost 30 minutes from that exact church. Please be praying that the Lord's will will be done through out the whole thing.I see the Lord's hand in this and we all are wondering where it is going. I will keep you updated. He and his band and another great artist "Neah Lee" will be here in June and possibly staying at our home. That would be 5 guys and 2 girls. - Arielle will be in Heaven! If you would like to find out more about Koo- his site is Koo Chung and his record company is Broken For Good RecordsArielle is only 14 at the present- so this is exciting for her!Thank you!In Him, chanin

Okie, dokie, the date is now set for June 4th! If anyone lives in Ohio or surrounding area - please come! Maybe I can get you a free T-shirt!WOW This is very exciting! I actually went to Koo Chung's website and he really seems Christ honouring. I listened to a few of his songs and I really like 'Gullible Me' www.koochung.com the flash music is at the top of the site. How big of an event will it be? Do you guys have to rent a space? maybe a church building? I would love to help in anyway possible. This is great for arielle I am so happy for her. I really see the Lord doing huge things through her.

Wow, praise God.This is a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord and opportunity to stir the heart of His people in KY. We'll be praying... AmenYes indeed God is using the younger generation to stir the hearts of the older generation. That will be one the marks of the coming revival. From the most selfish generation (the Baby Boomers I'm including myself), to one who will honor God. It's going to a glorious time. Praise God Chanin, he's certainly going to use your daughter for His glory. Amen.

ok, here's an update.Dan (hubby) drove me by the church where we schuduled for Koo to play. I have never been there. He kept telling me it was in an old theater. I thought he meant like an old neat theatrical theater. So, I was fine with that. Then I saw it. :-? My spirit sank. There was something so wrong about that place. I knew we could not have it there. So now we are looking into our old church , which is very nice and big and acceptable- I was just not wanting to go back there unless the Lord came down himself and said "GO- THEREFORE!" :-P The theater turned out to be a small old used cinema. I can hardly desribe what it looked like- a club maybe? The trim had been painted purple. The signs on top where the movie signs used to be were all color paintings of people. Across the top it just had a new silver modern side that said "Eastside"- no 'eastside christian church' . you would never know it was a church at all except that the assistant pastor lady (who is the wife of Dan's right hand guy) put a simple cross outside on one wall just last week. They had taken the movie theater theme and were playing it up- instead of playing it down.I know it sounds so prudish to say that i didn't feel right about it being in a former cinema but the Holy Spirit just spoke so loudly that this place that had been used for filth and entertainment was now being used to worship God and the filth was still there.I could not explain it. I am not saying that movie theaters are bad really or that i never go see movies because i do. Anyway, we are having to move the concert and hope that all goes well and that I am able to walk back into my old church. :-( It's probably all part of God's plan anyway. I laughed at it after i thought about it for awhile. I said to God "I see what You are doing here". :-) I keep telling myself (and Dan and Arielle) that it's all in the Lord's hands. In Him, chanin

Anyway, we are having to move the concert and hope that all goes well and that I am able to walk back into my old church.Sounds great chanin please keep us updated and we will be be praying for the sucess of this concert that God would be gloried and exalted. I have been myself in some churches in clubs and in old movie houses and sometimes there is a bad feeling and sometimes a good feeling. When I went to New York and went to Times Square Church it was amazing to see and hear God glorifyed in the middle of the choas of downtown New York in an old theater. And also I went to Brookyln Tabernacle a huge 3000 seating capacity movie house that was renovated and really makes you feel a sense of awe and worship of God in the way they beautifully furnished and re-did the theater house for the object of worshipping God.

Well, now our old church is not going to be able to do it. It's not a good date they say. I really have to pray about this because the Lord may want the concert at this cinema place. Uhh! They are really into the purpose Driven life (i think they just started it a week or so ago) and the pastor is 29 , from Calif, and sports the same kind of clothes (trying to look hip and casual- not that it's bad but it just seems a formula these days) as all the willowcreek and saddleback church pastors. You know, the whole mega- modern church scene.Arielle and i will go over there today and pray outside of it. Please be praying with us.In Him, Chanin

Ok, Arielle and I went over to the 'theater' church. We still don't know. It is very wild and new wave kind of. Purple doors, etc...but that's not the worst of it.I had forgotten this- but their old pastor had been made to resign because he was caught in an affair WITH ANOTHER MAN. No wonder I felt the way I did in my spirit when I saw the place. I just kept thinking it had filth in it- even though it is very clean and nice looking to people who like that kind of thing. They have a new pastor now- it's been about maybe two months or so.But even now I think of the people there and how no one caught on. What kind of spirit was leading them if he was living a lie. How could you stay in a place where the 'shepherd' that you're supposed to trust and is supposed to be leading them toward God- is actually a sodomite?I know the Lord may still want the concert there for reasons unknown to me- but I'd really like to know. Time is running out. :-( "join us tomorrow for 'As The Church Turns' " :-? In Him, Chanin

Are you sure the Lord wants you to have anything to do with that church?I'm not familiar with the specifics, obviously, but from what I've heard I wouldn't go in there unless dragged.

Praise God! Tonight is the night of the concert. We are all very excited. We are praying that the Lord will shine His light into the darkness. We are praying that at whatever stage people are in in their faith, that this will be an opportunity for them to want to seek Christ for themselves and go deeper.Though we doubted this place that we originally picked out- we feel it is the Lord's will for us to bring light to where there may be darkness or where there may be damage done by this former pastor. This definitely taught me not to judge things too soon and to wait until the Lord showed me His will before deciding anything. He has His own ways- and sometimes they are mysterious. :)I will let everyone know how it all goes. What a blessing this will be for everyone.Satisfied in Him alone, chanin

Chanin,GOOD JOB! That's exactly where Jesus would be going tonight."15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance".Mark 2:15-17Clutch

Well, what can I say? Koo and Neah (Lee) and the rest of the gang are gone now. It was such a great time and a real blessing for us! Not many people showed up and we felt so bad; but for the ones who were there, we pray that they came away from there with more of the Lord.It was an awsome time of fellowship for us and the group. Our family feels a deep friendship/kinship because of the shared foundation of Christ.I was surprised at how emotional I was about them leaving. They are such a neat group of young people. I will miss their company, their aliveness, their humility that they live out without even being aware of it. If I had to give one word to this whole experience it would be "Humility". What I thought I knew about humility now turns out to be nothing. As I have strived to learn about it and practice it, these young people live it everyday because they have been raised that way. This is a part of their culture (they are asian). My own lack of humility brought me to tears many times in the past few days when they were here. I was ashamed of our home and way of dress. I was ashamed of us as Americans how we complain and take so many things for granted. All seven of them sit straight up in a small minivan for up to 12 hours to get from place to place- without complaint. Their simplicity in everything just put me out of this world even more. All I can hope is that we can use our home and the things we've been blessed with to serve others more from now on. When I look at all we have now and how we just keep it to ourselves, it is a waste, a robbery. There is no reason to have what we have if we don't share it with others.Arielle got to share some of her songs with them as they clapped and cheered her on. What a blessing. Neah confirmed what I knew in my heart about Arielle having an annointing for worship. They share this same thing- the way they communicate with God is through their music- that's their quiet time and the way He speaks to them. It was really an encouragement for Arielle. Neah encouraged her to not be afraid to step out in faith. That goes for all of us.We hope that in some small way that we helped them out and gave them even a small part of everything they gave to us. It will be so interesting to see how these relationships will progress and grow.I would encourage anyone to visit some of their sites. Neah Lee is kind of the spiritual leader of the bunch. She is awsomely in-tune with the Lord; and her next c.d. will be out this fall. Can't wait!!! I've practically worn out her other one. Minnow is just releasing his new c.d. next month.www.brokenforgood.com (this is Koo's record producing company)www.koochung.comwww.neahlee.comwww.minnowpark.comWell, that's enough for now. I could go on and on, but won't. :)I am still swimming in a sea of humility and taking it all in.Thanks for all your prayers!

Praise God that sounds awesome Chanin, I am glad the Lord blessed the fellowship and the event. I am sure many people where blessed and even the worship team encouraged and strengthened by visiting your home. I am VERY happy about arielle and her getting a chance to play for them. That is so great! I was really praying that she would be blessed out of this and I really know the Lord has a great future for her, she has so much potential because she is very humble in her ways. :-) Arielle's songs will always have a place in the music section at SI.
