I know these google ads generate income for SI, but man are they ever stupid.

"How to preach with power", how to write effective sermons.

I have had the privilege of knowing some men of God who have never had an education, but they knew their God. Some of them couldn't talk right, but the power of God flowed out of their mouths and I never seen them with sermon notes. I remember one Pastor who prayed all week seeking God for a message for the people and when it came time for him to preach, he told the people that he hadn't received a message from God all week and that they were going to sing a couple of songs, read a couple of verses and as he was reading the verses God gave him the message and he preached for over an hour.(those were the days when people wanted to sit for over an hour).

Our inspiration comes from the holy Ghost, it started out that way on the Day of Pentecost and down thru the ages. It's not the sermon, nor the wording of that sermon, it's the holy Spirit of God that convicts hearts.

Since we are not in touch with our holy God, how then can we allow Him to speak thru us with a sermon that would be fitly spoken in due season? I have always believed that God speaks thru us with His word, we hear Him and we speak that which He is telling us to speak out.

I am not against studying and preparing thats not the purpose of this thread. What I am saying is that we have not a sure word from God because we are seeking other mens sermons, rather than from the mouth of God. Mary hath found the best part sitting at the feet of Jesus hearing Him speak.

True holy Ghost sermons comes directly from the mouth of God instantly as that man is in the pulpit preaching. It's fresh manna.

True Brother. I fell you.

Oh, yes. I have had the privilage of having such a man as my father, I thank God for that.

It's not the sermon, nor the wording of that sermon, it's the holy Spirit of God that convicts hearts.

Amen Brother.

You see brother, what has happened is that many so called prechers are studing the Bible only to satisfy their own end, and not God's. Just like that messege ten shekels and a shirt by Paris Reidehead explained. Using God for a means to their end. The men and women of God is only looking for God to be Glorified. He is so broken and contrite of spirit that he is not looking for fame or more people to pastor, but for God to save sinners no matter what the cost may be.
May we see more preachers totally devoted and consecrated to the misnistry God gave them. May we all be ablaze with the love of God constraining us to do his will, and his alone.

No wonder Greg wants to go solo, this is grievous.

Certainly the God of the Bible welcomes gays and yes come as you are. As you come expect to fall on your face before God in repentance and contrition, for our God is a consuming fire. Anyone who has ever come to seek the true and living God, repents. It's an automatic response.

But these people that promote this bible don't want you to come to the true and living God, they just want you to know that God excepts you as you are, therefore bypassing the seeking and repenting.

Perhaps other members here can give more insight.

No wonder Greg wants to go solo, this is grievous.

I am currently looking into different options to get around this and the one most plausible is turning non-profit. I do want to be able to take down the sponsor ads and also the google ads personally. I am looking into a new solution to host the media of the website which is not cheaper but easier to handle and scale upwards as more media is added.

I believe God is working a few ways for more support for this ministry. It would only take $2000-4000 a month to have myself comfortably fulltime on sermonindex, all the hardware and servers necessary and further projects being developed for sermonindex allowing it to grow.

Currently the reach and impact sermoninded has had is amazing considering the "little" it has take it to run. I praise God for the few loaves and fish in the hands of Jesus that have been multiplied to the masses.

I believe in this type of model for ministry and think it should continue. I am not interested in getting 100's of dollars into sermonindex in the future. God can do more with little when its FULLY submitted to God.
