And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations" But you have made it a "den of robbers". - Mark 11:17What an awesome scene of Jesus driving out the people in the temple who were selling things. Its a profound statement that God desires us to come to himself in prayer and worship. They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household. Acts 16:31-34 In Acts 16 we read about the conversion of the jailor guarding Paul and Silas. This man believed in Jesus and demonstrated that belief through his actions. Do I demonstrate my belief by my actions? Or better yet, have I been "transformed" like the jailor? Food for thought.
