Patience

Patience is something we all tend to struggle with. Waiting on God is one of the hardest things to do. Often, we will believe God and trust God for a miracle… but we want it NOW! In our waiting, we can easily get stressed out, frustrated and discouraged because God is not moving as fast as we think He should. Who hasn’t been there?

The truth of the matter is this: God is never late… and never in a hurry. He is always right on time. He quietly whispers, “Be patient, my child. Wait on Me, and I will answer in mighty power… at just the right moment.”

FAITH AND PATIENCE

Faith and patience go together. The one who believes God… and patiently waits on God is the one who receives from God. Abraham and Sarah were promised a son. They were old and childless when the promise came. Obviously, they were excited and ready for God’s promise to come to fruition, but they had to wait… and wait… and wait. Nearly 30 years passed before God gave them Isaac, the son of promise. The Bible says, “Yet, with respect to the promise of God, he [Abraham] did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what He had promised, He was also able to perform” (Rom. 4:20-21). Abraham grew closer to the Lord as He waited on His good promise to come to pass.

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Have you gotten tired of waiting for your miracle? Tired of waiting for Mr. or Ms. Right? Tired of waiting for your healing… or your deliverance… or your promotion… or your dream to become reality? Could it be that you have secretly given up on your promise from God?

If you have quit on your promise, pick up the towel of defeat and get back in the waiting room! Add patience to your faith. God’s promise to you will come to pass in His timing… and you will be so glad that you waited for it!

Dear Brother Moe, something that I was taught and I truly believe is that - the root of all sin, including our "impatience" is Pride.
That Pride is the root of ALL Sin.
That Pride was Lucifer's sin and caused all that he did and is what causes us to do or think all that we do that opposes God.
When we see Satan and his pride - we are repelled and disgusted by him and it - and if we see that everything in us that wants to do things He wouldn't want us to do that's "against Him" is because of our own pride.
If we hate someone it's because we think we are 'better' than them. We're not better than anyone - not even the chiefest of sinners, we've just found His Mercy.

It is so difficult to fight this sin and that sin individually. That can become so frustrating. But if we see every evil or unGodly thought as our own Pride, wanting for ourselves things that God hasn't given us to have, our Pride says - we deserve to have this or that or entertain this or that thought.

We're tempted by Satan's demons when we have that lust of pride in us. That is Satan's specialty.
We feel we deserve better. A better wife - a better home - an easier life - to be treated more repectful or better - a better body - more recognition - more stuff - whatever it is - the root of it all is Satan's pride that we're duplicating. It's saying God isn't giving us what we need or not enough. It defies "The Lord is my Shepherd - I shall not want."
He gives us All that we need - but our pride says we need something more than He's given or allowed.
We say we have "a right" to be angry - we think.
We have "a right" to have this or that or have it our way.
Like magnets, our pride draws the enemy to us because we're in 'his' mode. We all have pride and that is our common weakness - and why every sin and impatience, etc., needs to be seen as our pride being similar to satan's - wanting more than we have been given, no matter what it is.
Every sin is founded and conceived and birthed from pride first.

If Satan and his pride repulses us - than, whenever we are tempted, we will see Satan and will see where our pride is in the matter and be repulsed at the thought of that sin that our own pride has attracted that temptation to.
Coveting is pride. There's no contentment with pride. Coveting let loose leads to sin. "I deserve" type thing, makes us not only impatient - but can carry on to getting this 'thing' that we feel we deserve, even if it is against God to pursue it.
I don't want to be like Satan - and I know none of us do. If we see Pride as Satan and Pride as the root of all sin - we know where to focus our warfare and prayers. The only way to stay humble is to recognise we all have pride but mostly to know we ourselves will always battle pride until we see Him. That's the real enemy.
We don't "deserve" anything - yet loving God, more than ourselves, pays the greatest reward --- Heaven Forever with Him and our brothers and sisters. Love for Him and others destroys pride. We only have eyes for Him. Seeing others as better than ourselves and loved by Him as much as He loves us. Love destroys pride and satan's hate. We can't say, "Lord make me more humble" - but we can seek Him till we know Him and His Love will be the fruit.
Love and pride cannot co-exist. Not His love.
Satan only had/has eyes for 'himself' [pride] - so he hates God and because He hates God - he hates what God loves - mankind and creation - and wants to destroy us and it to hurt God somehow - that's hate for sure and pride that satan thinks he's better than God and God's ways.
