Thanks SI for the opportunity!!!

sermonindex Sep 9, 2007

[color=003399]I just want to thanks to all on SI who has called my attention to many things and truths in scripture that articles I read I did not agree with that prompted to dig through HIS WORD for truth and answers. You will not be reading my post for a while and I know it is a great relief for some of you. It has been great doing what I believe God called me to do for a season. I’m sure he has another place in which for me to speak HIS WORD. I do not know exactly what that is but I have peace making this post of farewell for a season. I will be reading the posts from time to time on SI to see what is going on, even though I don’t post. You may even see me log in to get check PM’s. Thanks Greg, Mike and all the moderators for the opportunity SI gave me to speak what I knew to be truth even if you disagreed.

Anyone wishing to continue to communicate with me just look on my profile danang_rvn_1969@yahoo.com .It would be great to hear from you but not to argue about the same ole rhetoric or rehash ole threads. I have spoken what I know to be truth and could add more but feel I shouldn't. with that email address some former military person might arrive I was a Vietnam veteran that serve in Nam. Also in the past there was much more of my personal history about military service until I choose to edit and delete.

One more thing I needed to clear up on a post about a Christian being able to be or not be deceived. I must say although I still believe the Holy Spirit gives a Christian insight and discernment about who is and is not false teachers and prophets. having said that there are many times a Christian knowingly will disobey and be caught up in sin, but not without knowing and being aware of it, if they are indwelled with HIS Spirit. They know when they are sinning. They can’t resist the lust of the flesh and the eyes and the pride of life and are disobedient. But they are well aware of it when it happens.

Moe,

Brother, I will not try to talk you out of what the Lord has led you to do, but I will tell you that I will miss your post and your fellowship. Maybe we can keep in touch by e-mail as you can find mine on any post or in my profile. If not, then I do have a request from you if you don’t mind. Brother, pray for this brother if you will and I will definitely be praying for you. Until we meet again, here or there.

You will not be reading my post for a while and I know it is a great relief for some of you.
Are you sure the LORD is leading you else where or are you feeling sorry for yourself?

I've done what your doing a couple of times, but I am glad that I persevered and put up with those who didn't care for me here on SI (at least I thought they didn't care).

I would feel like no one on this site wanted me to be apart of the forums, I was wrong, I was surprised (actually shocked) to have had people PM me and tell me how much they appreciated me being here.

What was happening to me here, I was getting too personally involved in what and how people were responding to my posts. I was constantly trying to defend myself and trying to clear up misconceptions and I had to realize that everyone reads things differently. However, I also had to repent a couple of times for being too harsh on people. By the grace of God I have stopped judging people, I found that in my own life the thing that I judged someone on I ended up doing myself.

The LORD was simply saying, point out the sin, but don't point the finger as if your unable to sin. We mention the sin so that the brother can be aware of it, but don't condemn him in your self righteousness. Our chief goal is to be like the son full of grace and truth, in other words, we want to see our brother redeemed from that sin.

I think you need to just relax, continue coming in here, pick the threads you want to express what the LORD has shared with you to share with your Brothers and Sisters here at SI. And if someone gets nasty with replying to a post, leave it and move on, it ain't worth replying and getting yourself all in a tizzy.

God Bless Gary,

Hey Moe.
When I looked at the Homepage earlier, I couldn't help but notice that Brother Frin and I posted at exactly the same minute but on different threads to you. Mine was on that other thread you started.
I'm thinking you just need a break.
I've been talking to some really super Christians that I know in different parts of the country and they said that they felt that their minds were on overload. Forgetting stuff and a little fogged. These are exceptional type Christians too. So, we're all taking more quiet times with the Lord these days. More than ever. Good stuff actually and I think that's where the Lord wants us. We need to know His Voice as well as our own in these coming days. Amen ?
Taking breaks is not breaking fellowship. None of us should spend too much time in one place anyway. It's good to move around the web - if you want to be on-line and see what all is going on out there, but limit your web time, because it does use up energy, even though we don't realize it is when we're on.
Plug into Jesus man. He always has something Important to say. Much more important than anything else - Hey ?
Well, we'll be talking here again. Look forward to hearing what the Lord speaks to you during your quiet times and your lady too.
Bless you both. Keep me in your prayers also. Thanks Brother.
