Welcome to the site.
Now, concerning faith, here is a scripture that is quite familiar.
Hebrews 11v1, 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
You have already quoted verse 6 of Hebrews 11, and the rest of the chapter speaks concerning faith.
If you want to know what pleases God, it tells you in verse 6 that you have already quoted.
It says ...for he who comes to God must believe that He is...
Believe Him, believe His word.
We seem to believe the words of men, who lie, cheat, deceive etc, and yet, we would question what God has said in His word.
Ps 12v6, 'The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
We should just trust God with all our hearts, as it says in Prov 3, and lean not on our own understanding.
God bless.

How can one grow his or her faith in God?
Faith is also a response to God's word (both written generally and personally discerned through the Spirit's ministry to our understanding), so obedience .... the bringing in line of your life into what you [now] know true .... is vital to growth.
What do we do to Please God?
Welcome to the SI forums! You have asked a great question, one we should all ask ourselves each day.
Pleasing God is not so much about what we "do" but about what we "are" - devoted, trusting, obedient children. Isn't this what we discover when Jesus was baptized by John at the Jordan river? A voice was heard, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Jesus hadn't done anything yet, His ministry was just beginning. He had lived thirty years in obscurity but the Father was pleased because He was completely submitted to the Father's will.
In Christ,
Ron
