sermonindex May 16, 2004

I was browsing the web and I found this ministry run by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and its directly a ministry for women! I highly reccomend this resource you can listen to the radio show online here:http://www.reviveourhearts.com/radio/today/And there is a good archive of shows. I listened to abit of one of the shows and I really think she is right on! :-) I know Chanin (moreofhim) enjoys her teachings, I hope more women that visit this site can use this resource and grow in the knoweldge of God.[image]http://www.reviveourhearts.com/images/nancy_lt_blue.jpg[/img]The vision of Revive Our Hearts . . .Dear friend, Thank you for letting me come into your heart and home. I look forward to sharing together in the days ahead.Several years ago, God began birthing in my heart a vision for wide-spread personal and corporate revival and reformation among Christian women. I pray that God will use Revive Our Hearts to help that dream become a reality. Here, in a nutshell, is my burden for this ministry:To help women experience spiritual freedom and fullness through practically applying the Word of God to every area of their lives and relationships. To help them discover biblical answers to the root issues that keep them from being all God created them to be. To help women become spiritually fruitful. To give them a vision for their distinctive, God-given calling, mission, roles, and responsibilities. To call women to a life of surrender, sacrifice, service, and Spirit-filled living--that they might be life-givers and instruments of revival in their homes, churches, and communities. To mobilize a "counter-revolution" of holy, humble, surrendered, thankful, praying women who will reflect to our world the wonder and the beauty of His heart and His ways--women whose lives will advance His Kingdom and His redemptive purposes in the world I believe God wants to do a fresh, extraordinary work in and through us as women today. I'd invite you to join me in seeking Him and in responding, simply, "Yes, Lord! I'm available. Use my life for Your glory." Warmly, Nancy Leigh DeMoss

Greg, thanks for posting this.I haven't yet because I thought everyone would think it's for women only- but actually many men listen to her program and read her books too.I am in the process of sending you one of her tapes (awsome!!!) and a couple of her pamphlets. One is called "Begin In My Sanctuary."I have many of her books (Surrender is the best!) and find she is one of the few writers of today that have real truth in them. She shares the same burden for God's heart as many of us do.She has studied and read the same classics including Ravenhill. She frequently quotes Ravenhill, Murray, Finney, and even Fenelon.I try to read her radio program every day (you can read it online). She is unlike many Christian women today, in the sense that she is all about family and God and speaking about issues concerning women- but also is very direct about the state of the church and the need for total surrender and heart revival. Whether she knows it or not, I see her as a modern day watchman (watchlady?).In Him, chanin

Just wanted to let anyone know who might be interested that Nancy DeMoss is doing a series on Holiness this week on "Revive Our Hearts". Actually the page that this link takes you to, shows what her next 2 topics will be as well, which are the "Welsh Revival" and "The Joy Of a Surrendered Life". If you would like to read the transcripts from each day just click on "Listen to Today's Program" in the upper left corner. These are some subjects that come up quite a bit here, so thought I'd share. :-) In Him, Chanin

Just wanted to let everyone know that Nancy is doing a good series on repentance right now also. Yesterday's and today's is very good. I like the way she speaks. It is very simple and easy for everyone to understand. And she is always quick to include herself in "who needs to repent" group. This is actually part of a bigger series which is called "Seeking Him"- which is a call for personal revival. Here is today's: Repentance:The Big Turn AroundIn His service, chanin
