Has anyone heard of James Ryle?

He came to our mens breakfast Saturday morning. I didn't go to it because I had an idea what type of message we were going to get.

I have found some disturbing things about this man, i.e. part of the Kansas City Prophets, endorses the "laughing in the spirit" in Toronto. I guess he used to be a pastor of the Vineyard Church, during this time he had several visions and dreams concerning the Beatles, Sons of Thunder , the list goes on.

My question is: Should this alarm me that he was the speaker in our church? We are a Southern Baptist church. I thought SBC does not endorse this kind of beliefs and teachings?
