Greetings
I have a question about two authors, Gene Edwards and Frank Viola? they are apart of the house church movements. Wonder if anyone has read them and what there thoughts are?

Gene Edwards

I really know nothing of either one of them but what I've been told by the pastor of the church I currently attend, Dean Taylor. I'm sure most of you know who Dean is, he'll be speaking at the Revival Conference. Anyway, Dean has talked to Gene Edwards personally on at least one occasion. I don't remember what the conversation was about but I know Dean had a lot of honest questions and was asking Gene about them. I don't remeber what Gene's answers were but they didn't quite line up with scripture as Dean understood it so Dean said something along the lines of "but I don't see that in the Bible". The thing I remember most was Gene's response.
Dean said Gene looked at him and said "Throw away your Bible. Get revelation."

That's all I know about Gene Edwards and that's enough for me!

If you want me to I can talk to Dean and get the full account from him again in order to tell it in it's entirety.

I know nothing about Gene, but I would like to hear more then this... if someone has something concrete.

I have read Rethinking the wineskin by Frank and its right on so far and would recommend it. Someone recently posted an article by Frank called "The bible is not a jigsaw puzzle" here on SI that you might want to look at too.
