This is a POWERFUL video teaching on the "anointing of God" in ministry, it moved me when I watched it and I had to share it with the brothers and sisters here on SI.

Oh the great need for the anointing of God upon pastors and ministries in our day. Will you get close to God and count the cost to be used of Him?

"we dont really want to pay the price....."

this is a very good message, cuts right into your heart. with the revival conference just around the corner, it is good to start seek in ones own heart. It is about time to make that payment....count the cost. When bro Wilkerson speks about Ravenhill dying with a broken heart and the "lightness" in the pulpits and in us... foolishness. God have mercy on me, help me to see, help me to come to that point.... give me a greater burden Lord .

When bro Wilkerson speks about Ravenhill dying with a broken heart and the "lightness" in the pulpits and in us... foolishness. God have mercy on me, help me to see, help me to come to that point.... give me a greater burden Lord .

Oh what truth is being spoken in this recording, I pray it will awaken many out of their slumber that they may serve God with fear and acceptance in these terrible dark days in the Church.

The Lord is calling for men, will you enlist? There is a cost!

Last night, I was praying and The Lord spoke to me in my mind, "The Cost of the Anointing". It puzzled me. What is this about?

A couple of years ago, I did a series of teachings in our church called "Anycostal". We are Pentecostal (in our church, and even if you don't speak in tongues but believe in the reality of the Spirit of God and rely on the empowerment of the Spirit to live for God, I count you too), and the series was to teach in what it means to serve God at all costs, any cost at all. The urgency was that we are Pentecostal but are we anycostal. What is the cost of faith, following, fellowship and fruit?

So, when The Lord spoke to me last night, I thought, is his something you want me to teach?! No. It is something He wants me to learn. I thought, "look online." I did. And, within two minutes I found this video. This morning, I found this thread, and I've watched it.

Oh, brothers and sisters. Pray for me. Pray for my wife. For our daughter. I'm remaining home this morning to seek God. We want, but moreover we must have and cannot live without, the anointing of God. It is costly. Oh, that we will pay the price. That we will buy for ourselves gold refined in the fire. That we will be used of of our Lord.

Hi dolfan,

Many years ago I was at a home gathering with a bunch of saints. My mother was visiting from Scotland, a precious woman of faith who for many years was actually beaten for her faith, beatings so bad that it included a broken jaw and a thousand black eyes. A well to do and well meaning Christian lady came up and said to me quietly " I want the anointing your mother has." As she walked away, the Holy Spirit whispered to me " no, she does not." There is a price to pay to walk in the anointing of God and it does not come by any single event. It is certainly initiated by the baptism of the Holy Spirit but then it is shaped and increased by the trials and the tribulations of life and how we react to them, how we yield to them, how we bend to them.

I remember in my own walk, it was 1995. I remember crying out to the Lord " whatever it takes Lord." One of those prayers that you know that you know was heard before the throne. Thus began almost two decades of severe trials. Many times broken over those years. The trials have never stopped, never changed, but I have over those years. Ten years ago I was at a church meeting and unbeknown to anyone, I had a vision. I was suddenly plunged under the waters of a fast flowing somewhat shallow river. I was lying face up on a river bed of smooth stones. I immediately panicked and fought for breath. The Lord spoke to me and told me to relax, He would enable me to rest there amongst the smooth stones and exist in an environment that I should not be ale to exist in. I believe the Holy Spirit was showing me that the waters of life would rush over me and begin to shape me and take the rough edges off. I was not to be shaped by men but by the circumstances that the Lord would allow to come into my life. I was to be led by the Word of God and by His Spirit and not to resist the shaping of who I was to be...........bro Frank
