5 \tOh, that my ways were directed
\tTo keep Your statutes!
6 \tThen I would not be ashamed,
\tWhen I look into all Your commandments.
8 \tI will keep Your statutes;
\tOh, do not forsake me utterly!
10 \tWith my whole heart I have sought You;
\tOh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
12 \tBlessed are You, O LORD!
\tTeach me Your statutes.
17 \tDeal bountifully with Your servant,
\tThat I may live and keep Your word.
18 \tOpen my eyes, that I may see
\tWondrous things from Your law.
19 \tI am a stranger in the earth;
\tDo not hide Your commandments from me.
22 \tRemove from me reproach and contempt,
\tFor I have kept Your testimonies.
25 \tMy soul clings to the dust;
\tRevive me according to Your word.
26 \tI have declared my ways, and You answered me;
\tTeach me Your statutes.
27 \tMake me understand the way of Your precepts;
\tSo shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.
28 \tMy soul melts from heaviness;
\tStrengthen me according to Your word.
29 \tRemove from me the way of lying,
\tAnd grant me Your law graciously.
31 \tI cling to Your testimonies;
\tO LORD, do not put me to shame!
33 \tTeach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes,
\tAnd I shall keep it to the end.
34 \tGive me understanding, and I shall keep Your law;
\tIndeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
35 \tMake me walk in the path of Your commandments,
\tFor I delight in it.
36 \tIncline my heart to Your testimonies,
\tAnd not to covetousness.
37 \tTurn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,
\tAnd revive me in Your way.
38 \tEstablish Your word to Your servant,
\tWho is devoted to fearing You.
39 \tTurn away my reproach which I dread,
\tFor Your judgments are good.
40 \tBehold, I long for Your precepts;
\tRevive me in Your righteousness.
41 \tLet Your mercies come also to me, O LORD—
\tYour salvation according to Your word.
43 \tAnd take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
\tFor I have hoped in Your ordinances.
49 \tRemember the word to Your servant,
\tUpon which You have caused me to hope.
58 \tI entreated Your favor with my whole heart;
\tBe merciful to me according to Your word.
64 \tThe earth, O LORD, is full of Your mercy;
\tTeach me Your statutes.
66 \tTeach me good judgment and knowledge,
\tFor I believe Your commandments.
68 \tYou are good, and do good;
\tTeach me Your statutes.
73 \tYour hands have made me and fashioned me;
\tGive me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
76 \tLet, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort,
\tAccording to Your word to Your servant.
77 \tLet Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live;
\tFor Your law is my delight.
78 \tLet the proud be ashamed,
\tFor they treated me wrongfully with falsehood;
\tBut I will meditate on Your precepts.
79 \tLet those who fear You turn to me,
\tThose who know Your testimonies.
80 \tLet my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes,
\tThat I may not be ashamed.
84 \tHow many are the days of Your servant?
\tWhen will You execute judgment on those who persecute me?
86 \tAll Your commandments are faithful;
\tThey persecute me wrongfully;
\tHelp me!
88 \tRevive me according to Your lovingkindness,
\tSo that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.
94 \tI am Yours, save me;
\tFor I have sought Your precepts.
107 I am afflicted very much;
\t\tRevive me, O LORD, according to Your word.
108 Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD,
\t\tAnd teach me Your judgments.
116 Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live;
\t\tAnd do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe,
\t\tAnd I shall observe Your statutes continually.
121 I have done justice and righteousness;
\t\tDo not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be surety for Your servant for good;
\t\tDo not let the proud oppress me.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy,
\t\tAnd teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant;
\t\tGive me understanding,
\t\tThat I may know Your testimonies.
132 Look upon me and be merciful to me,
\t\tAs Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
133 Direct my steps by Your word,
\t\tAnd let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Redeem me from the oppression of man,
\t\tThat I may keep Your precepts.
135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant,
\t\tAnd teach me Your statutes.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting;
\t\tGive me understanding, and I shall live.
145 I cry out with my whole heart;
\t\tHear me, O LORD!
\t\tI will keep Your statutes.
146 I cry out to You;
\t\tSave me, and I will keep Your testimonies.
147 I rise before the dawning of the morning,
\t\tAnd cry for help;
\t\tI hope in Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
\t\tO LORD, revive me according to Your justice.
153 Consider my affliction and deliver me,
\t\tFor I do not forget Your law.
154 Plead my cause and redeem me;
\t\tRevive me according to Your word.
156 Great are Your tender mercies, O LORD;
\t\tRevive me according to Your judgments.
159 Consider how I love Your precepts;
\t\tRevive me, O LORD, according to Your lovingkindness.
169 Let my cry come before You, O LORD;
\t\tGive me understanding according to Your word.
170 Let my supplication come before You;
\t\tDeliver me according to Your word.
173 Let Your hand become my help,
\t\tFor I have chosen Your precepts.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise You;
\t\tAnd let Your judgments help me.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep;
\t\tSeek Your servant,
\t\tFor I do not forget Your commandments.
I am leading a small group and have asked them to isolate the prayers of Psalm 119.
How does this list compare to what we pray for?
