Where do you live?

We live in beautiful Northern Kentucky along the narrow path. :-) Actually, Arielle took these pictures of the country side near us. We don't live on a farm but there are MANY all around us!Simple yet beautiful!In Him, chanin & arielle

Hello brothers and sisters, I live in burlington vermont and have all my life. Burlington is the largest city in vermont at i believe 50 thousand people. It's said that the cows in the state out number the people, I do not believe that is true anymore. It's humid in the summer and wicked cold in the winter get's to -60 at night sometimes. beautiful land though.

Well I live in Troutville, VA which is about 20 miles Northeast of Roanoke, VA. Roanoke is about 250,000 in population if you include the areas directly around it. It lies in the Southwest portion of VA in the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountain ranges. Very similar to where Chanin lives except bigger mountains or hills. Very beautiful place and a great place to raise a family. Roanoke was actually in the top 15 cities to live in on some survey. It is known as the Star City of the South. In the bible belt with church buildings all over the place. My house is in Troutville which is out in the country a bit, I have 3 acres but no hroses or cattle of any kind. My daughter wants a horse and a goat, what a combo that would be. Our neighbors have horses so the kids can feed them anytime. Just moved back here from Il 3 years ago after being up there for about 5 years. I'm originally from Il and all my family is still there but I have lived in VA now over half my life. I really like it here but miss my home church and brothers and sisters in Christ back in IL.Sorry I said so much. I guess you really just asked where we live not half our life story. It means: WHAT? So, not being familiar with all of the 50+ states, and especially not with all of the abbreviations, i thought: WHAT? Which state is that? :-D ;-) :-D Well, now I know. I looked in my atlas and figured out that it had to be Virginia. And then it said Virginia in the pictures. But, to be serious, I would appreciate if you American guys could be a bit more clear when it comes to names of places and other things that may not be evident to all of us that come from the rest of the world. I guess most people know that CA means California and NY means New York and so on, but it would still be appreciated. As I said, I live in Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish), the second largest city in Sweden with 475 000 inhabitants.Have a look at some pictures:Official website of Gothenburg - picture galleryGothenburg is famous for its habour, its archipelago, its industry (e.g. Volvo cars), its tram and other things. It's quite a big town, but still has a small-town feel about it. However, I plan move elsewhere when I'm finished with my studies in September or so. Gothenburg is still a bit too big and noisy for me. Some smaller town of 50 000 to 100 000 inhabitants would be nice. The alternative would be living in the coutry. I love the quiet of the countryside, being close to nature. So, who knows where I will live in a year... ;-)

Hi,I am a native of Wisconsin USA. I live at in the village (population 1220) of Luck. It is about an hour and a half from Mineapolis Minnesota. (I about said MN :-) thanks for the insight Riki). There are about twenty lakes with in 10 miles of my house. I found a nice map too, if some of you don't know where Sweden is. (I guess you don't, huh?) Well, Sweden is not Switzerland, anyway... ;-) I've heard that that is a common misunderstanding in the USA... :-DAnyway, the flag shows where Gothenburg is. [image][img align=left]http://www.goteborg.com/upload/bilder/265x265_ny/gbgguide/gbggui.jpg[/img]Sweden is a very streched out country and therefore the wheather differs a lot between the north and the south. At the moment it is early spring in the far north and late spring/early summer down here.

That's a picture of the Pacific Coast Highway, in Southern California. If I remember correctly, it runs down along the whole coast of California, I think even starting in the northern neighboring state of Oregon. The view is very pretty along there, which this picture I found on the Internet doesn't really show. But hey, it's a picture!I don't have a picture of the exact community I live in, but it's called Escondido. Everything around here has a Mexican name. I wonder why??? (FYI, that was sarcastic).Don't know how many people live here, but there's a lot! I love California! We have everything here! I live in a valley, but 20 minutes to the west are lots of lovely beaches, maybe an hour or so to the east is the desert, a couple hours to the north are beautiful tree covered mountains, and to the south are our lovely Mexican neighbors.Yes Hollywood is here. No, I haven't seen any actors. And we have lots of amusement parks like the first, original Disneyland and Six Flags, Magic Mountain.Okay, as you can tell, I'm proud of where I live. But I think it would be cool to meet every single person in the whole entire world. I love people and cultures!

I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona. Located in the Sonoran Desert, the metropolitan area is known as "the valley of the sun" with an average of over 300 sunny days a year. Phoenix is now the 6th largest city in the USA with a population of over 1.4 million. It is growing very fast, too fast for my liking. It is very hot and dry here in the summer, very mild winters make it worthwhile though.The first picture below is a nearby manmade lake and second is where we spend most of our summer.

Pheonix, Arizona - I've been there! My jr. high youth pastor used to live out there. We spent a few Thanksgivings with him and his family. Now they live all the way over in Tennessee!Oh, and Greg, where you live in Toronto, Canada looks beautiful! The picture of your city reminds me of Seattle, Washington, where I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow!!!!! I love that city! They remind me of each other because of that needle thing you guys have. [laughs] In Seattle it's the Space Needle. I don't know what yours is called.Those of you who live in the south (in the United States of America, for those of you from out of country), it looks beautiful there too! I hope to see the south sometime. [laughs] I kind of am when I go to the Ukraine in June. I'll only be in the Atlanta, Georgia airport, but hey, that counts, right?! Yeah, not really.

This is great everyone! Really love seeing the places we all live in. Some beautiful areas.To clarify a bit, I currently live in Santa Clara, California but was raised in San Jose, Ca and so consider myself a native of San Jose and usually will refer to that as it is more distinct. I am about 10-15 minutes from "The Shark Tank" where my beloved Sharks play (That's a NHL hockey team for some of our other brethren, and yes we just got bounced out of the playoff's by some Canadian team ) :cry:The "Tank" (HP Pavalion)San Jose is a major California city and the county seat of Santa Clara County. It is located at the south side of the San Francisco Bay, within the informal boundaries of Silicon Valley. As of 2003, the city reported an estimated population of 925,000, the most populous city in Northern California, and third in the state after Los Angeles and San Diego.This is closer to 'home' where I grew up.In all we are within an hour of San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Gilroy (The garlic capital of the world, sometimes in the summer you can smell it) but for all that I really long to get up into the mountains where it's quiet and a whole lot cheaper to live.

Okay, you got the photo you want to post. You right click on it, and select "Properties" from the menu. You then highlight the "Address (URL)" that'll look something like this,http://us.a1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/a/ya/yahoo_photos/pic_l_5.jpgand you copy it. You come back here to your post, paste the address and put it inbetween these thingys,... arg, I can't type it, it won't let me! Ummm... hmmm... let me try to outsmart the computer. You have to put the address inbetween these: img (goes before address) /img (goes after address). And put the "img" things in these [ ] like this
