"Out of the Saltshaker & into the World: Evangelism As a Way of Life" by Rebecca Manley Pippert5 out of 5 stars.I have read several books on Evangelism and have personally found this one to be the best. It is not only written in an extremely engaging, fluid style and in relatively plain language, but the stories the author tells are very well used.This book I also believe is the most practical evangelism book I have read. Instead of simply another how-to evangelism book, this book seeks to provoke a response out of you to want to make evangelism part of your life, not simply something you do once a week. It seeks to impart practical wisdom in making evangelism a way of life. If you are not planning becoming a street corner preacher, yet, have the strong urge to evangelize, this book is surely for you. Even if you are a street corner preacher (as I am), this book is for you as well.

I agree. This book by Rebecca Manley Pipert is written out of genuine experiences and is full of practical advice blended with good theology. It remains my "must-read recommendation" on the matter of personal evangelism.The newest edition also contains Pipert's reflection on the postmodern generation and on how the biblical message can become powerful and relevant to the postmodern generation.

Indeed. The readers should not be confused, but there are 2 versions of this book out there. The first version is over 20 years old, while the latest version is very recent. The old version doesn't contain all the exact same stories as the newest one, and the newest one deals with postmodernism some. Also, Pipperet admits that her theology has changed some, where as she used to rely less upon the power of the Holy Spirit and the need for that power in personal evangelism than she does today.
