A couple weeks ago I had the wonderful privilege of going to the Creation Museum (Answers in Genesis). It was a really neat museum and I highly recommend that you go see it if you haven't already. :-)
While we were there, Ken Ham gave a lecture and mentioned an interview he had that morning with professor from Miami University (Ohio) on NPR. In the course of the interview this professor gave an amazing little speech on his wonderful 'parentage' from the ape. It is staggering and so tragic to listen to this man proudly claim kinship to chimps and gorillas.
Here is the link to the audio clip from the interview:[url=http://blogs.answersingenesis.org/aroundtheworld/2007/10/23/i%e2%80%99m-proud-to-be-an-ape/]I'm Proud To Be an Ape
This is so sad. It really is, that a man that is created in the image of God (Gen. 1:27) could be so deceived as to his true origins.
[i]
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Romans 1:19-23
The book of Genesis is so key and vital and must not be undermined or explained away. We must stand strong on God's Word and proclaim it to be true. If a man can explain away the Creator, what responsibility does he have before God?
Ah, how great the need is for us to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ (Rom. 1:16)! When the museum first opened one of the reporters was asking pressing questions of Ken Ham concerning his motives with the museum, and Ken Ham unashamedly gave their [url=http://www.answersingenesis.org/about]vision
Well, I didn't intend such a long post, I was only going to mention the interview and give the link...so I hope ya'll will bear with hearing what I came away from the Creation Museum with. :-)
Be encouraged to stand strong on the Rock of His Word!
