Devotional: The contrast to Self Directed Error is Sovereignly Advised Directives. Simply, when I chose my way, it is based on “wants” that I frequently claim as “needs”. Whether voiced aloud or not, it is error. Sadly, even in the midst of so called “Service for CHRIST”, many of us struggle. We base the validity of our efforts and worthiness as such upon how many come to CHRIST. Or how many get baptized. Or how many this….or how many that. If my goal is simply a number, then I have no focus on CHRIST…only looking good to other church members, other organizations….all of which are sources which provide human / flawed suggestions. At the very depth of Despair is the notion that any one of us can trust ourselves without question. That somehow we know enough or are spiritual enough by now…to be able to replicate Joy in HIS service…through some set, repeatable steps. This too is errant. This too is flawed. We must rise daily whilst asking for HIS direction….even in the midst of our walk where the path set before us seems readily apparent. Hence, this is a self admonishment…an internally directed message as well. The highs and lows of Extreme on both ends of Joy and Suffering….will be smoothed out once the reaffirmation of our direction in HIS service….is something we demand ourselves to relentlessly seek – every hour. It should be that important to every “self”. Amen and amen.
Self Directed Error
In this life one’s desires
oft choose that which lingers…
where frequent encounters with CHRIST
fuel their soul.
Thus, residually centered
with daily surrender…
so find they their passion in HIM
is made whole.
Well below this example
are those earthly focused
whose temporal obsessions oft end
with Despair.
Here, their hopes exist – fractured
for one who was steadfast
has wandered away from their side
without care.
Hence the ongoing blessing
sought for by the masses
is found through the death of belief
in “Self Council”.
Yes! With Sovereign advice so
extremes become common
till all that one wants has aligned
with HIS will.
