Devotional: Back to earlier devotionals on this subject. We spend so much time critiquing the words of another and self-justifying perceptions and assumptions as though we have a corner on truth. The Lost will gravitate to whoever reaches them with some form of light…first. As such, our bantering/”discussing”/arguing etc….only wastes time. Yes, it is important that ONLY truth is spoken and shared. But at what overall, much larger picture cost? The majority of gatherings / open forums that propagate my view….focus more so on the Found with a Fault-Finding intensity. It is as though encouragements are left untouched as a “given”. Where do these people want to invest their time? Contrast. Debate. Unfortunately, I permit myself to both lead as well as be drug into such pointless battles as well. All…“to just prove a point.” Seems harmless but are we not empowering the work of the devil unintentionally / unconsciously ? Are we so bent on repeatedly “just stating the facts” (yet clothed in our opinions) that the Lost are reached by some other religion or belief…who is “just willing to listen”? I have seen false doctrines and cult like organizations even…that attend to the Lost with their partial, twisted truths….and are welcomed openly. As such, I cease from writing now to practice what I preach. Amen and amen.

Appearance attempts to persuade us
that the only place for comparisons
is within church walls or intrinsically based.
Yet diverse intensities of HIS light
gather in countless meetings worldwide…
and too often the focus is Variance –
cast in glances to every side.
Rather! Lift now your candle – igniting
those in darkness whose paths have been hid!
‘Tis no matter whose beacon burns brighter!
For to shadow bound souls,
any CHRIST – centric light shone upon them
is Rescue – indeed! Thus, creating…
their first view of Hope…looking upwards
at last!
