Isaiah 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye
shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

1. Who is Our Comforter?

a.God , the Father. Isaiah 51:12.
b.God, The Son . I John 2:1; Matthew 11:28.
c.God , The Holy Spirit.John 14:26.
d.His words Romans 15:4-6.

2. To whom this promise?

His people, those who are redeemed by His precious blood.

3. How does He comfort us?

As a Mother comforts like fondly , effectually.

4. Where does He comfort us?

Jerusalem , means church , fellowship .

"Spiritual temperatures"

In the Chrsitian life there are three spiritual temperatures.

1. A Burning Heart on fire for the Lord.

Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us,
while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the
scriptures?

2. A Cold Heart.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold.

3. A Lukewarm Heart.

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will
spue thee out of my mouth.

1. Hot is Zestos.2.Cold is Psuchros. 3. Tepid is Chliaros.

Cry unto me
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
- Jeremiah 33:3
1. Cry to God when the enemies attach you
"And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD."
- Exodus 14:10
2. Cry to God for needs to be met
"And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them"
- Exodus 15:25
3. Cry to God extension of life, healing and health
"And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?"
- 1 Kings 17:20
4. Cry to God for blessing of enemies
"And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh."
- Exodus 8:12
5. Cry to God for in distress
"In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me."
- Psalms 120:1
6. Cry to God for things which seem to be impossible
"And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz."
- 2 Kings 20:11
7. Cry to God for peaceful settlement or replacement
"It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night."
- 1 Samuel 15:11
