Devotional: Constant are the “other voices” which would draw me off course…to a path of lesser resistance outside of HIS will. Do we not question the path HE sets before us because trials occur? Where did that measurement of “truth” come from? Regardless the enticement, “Carry On! Press Forward! Yes, stand with Paul and fight the good fight of Faith…for CHRIST! Amen and amen!
Standing…Still
There are masses traveling elsewhere
though no voice has bid them come.
There are billions of their footprints…aimless – all!
Basing movement on their feelings,
so – amiss – they surely run.
But I shall stand because my name has not been called.
Though seems apparent to retreat
or to – yet again – turn back;
still on this course – though oft attacked – I shall remain.
HIS designs for self are “Forward!”
through the rain and sun as well
as HE has yet to change my course or speak my name.
