Edited what I originally wrote because I read the question wrong.
God bless
chandras,
Why don't you start the ball rolling and tell us what you think?
Look foward to hearing your views, using scripture of course.
God bless.
I assume you are speaking of reproductive sterilization, and not medical and dental instruments...
Hey, Chandras... I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on this topic before I offer mine. I'll be more than happy to give my views on this... as soon as you do. :-)

Enid... did we drink out of the same coffee pot this morning??? lol...

Krispy,
I'm so unregenerate that I don't drink coffee.
As for sterilization, well, I'm sure chandras will help us all out any minute now...now...now...
God bless.

Oh man... I've always believed if one was truly saved that they couldnt lose that salvation... but now that you've made the above statement... I'm not so sure anymore!
:-P

This is a great topic...
I'm so thankful I never got my tubes tied. I believe though if a woman has that God can heal you. I've heard of miracles where that has happened.
I was sterilized after my daughter's birth. It was purely for selfish reasons. It must have been immoral because I didn't even ask God about it. I was very sick during both of my pregnancies. My son was 3 when I was pregnant with my daughter and I said, I will never go through this again. I couldn't imagine being pregnant and sick again with two young children to take care of at the same time. Not to mention that I work full time (for another 186 days only, Praise God!) and I didn't want to have another child being raised by daycare...
I have a cousin who has two sons and is just trusting God as to whether or not they have more children. So far they haven't.
In my opinion, although I don't regret my own,
she has made the better decision to trust God.

I can totally sympathize with you. I was sick for the first seven months of all five of my pregnancies. I was deathly ill and even drove myself to the hospital one time in the middle of the night which was really risky. My heart beat was really slow and so was my breathing. It scared me because this is what happens usually before you pass away. I'm not afraid though to get pregnant again. I trust the Lord more today and if I die I know I will be with Him. My husband doesn't want anymore children though.
I actually have some things to share on this topic... but I wont until chandras offers up his/her point of view. I really need to know if the questions that are asked by this person are legitimate questions from someone who has something to share, or are they just bait for more arguments among the brethren.

Hi chandras...
Why do you ask? Is this an issue in India? There isn't much of a problem with sterilization in the West (at least to my knowledge). I've heard of "forced sterilization" in closed societies, so I was wondering whether you were referring to this or sterilization by choice.

Some women undergo hysterectomies because of health reasons. Some simply do not want to have any more children (for various reasons, like [i]health[i]economic limitations
Anyway, here is a verse that might provoke the discussion:
:-)”For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”Matthew 19:12
Good scripture, ccchhhrrriiisss.
Let me ask this... is "be fruitful and multiply" a command? Is it a command for every child of God to just multiply and multiply and have 22 children? Is the person who has 1 child less faithful to the Lord than the one who has 22?
Also, is never using any birth control different than driving with no hands on the steering wheel?
Some claim that to even use a certain "natural method" is sin, citing the sin of Onan. (which Onan's sin wasnt what he did, it was his disobedience that was the sin)
Does God call every married couple to even be parents?

I usually don't have to sterilize. My dishwasher get all my dishes pretty clean. Krispy does yours? 8-)

I just let the dogs lick the plates off, and then put 'em in the cupboard. I heard somewhere that their mouths are more sterile than ours.
(You know you're a redneck if...)

ooops... one too many clicks... sorry!

Krispy,
Do you know that little story about Three Waters?
I don't know the whole story but it has something to do with a person at an old lady's house. The person asks if the plate was clean. She replies, "Yes. As clean as Three Waters can get it." Later the person asks, "Oh, what is your dog's name?" She replies, "Three Waters."

Well, he posted 3 or 4 times in another thread after starting this one. Only time will tell.
