Devotional: Our lack of repenting creates gaps in our individual vessels. Left to linger, so the gaps become wider and any blessings sent our way are not retained. In like manner, neither are they intentionally directed on the Body of CHRIST so as to bless them. As such, GOD’s retooling of our vessel also involves resurfacing. When one is in a state of non-repentance, then their surface becomes marred with flaws. The end result is that when HIS light shines upon us, what is reflected is more of Self…than it is of CHRIST. Therefore! Repent quickly and with soul deep sincerity. Let us join in praising and serving HIM so that what others sense is HIS blessings…and not our desperation to be repaired. Amen and amen.
Spiritual Retooling
Resurface me, LORD, for my flesh is so callous…
with lines which are jagged as
scars on this face.
Resurface me, LORD, since YOUR brilliance displayed
is not wholly reflected with
unhindered praise!
Remake me, oh GOD, for my vessel is broken
by fracture-like failings which
flow from this soul!
Remake me, oh GOD, since without YOU I perish
and ne’er shall be used for
YOUR services – whole!
Restore me, dear MASTER, so I can continue
to pour out YOUR blessings
without Lost’s intent!
Restore me, dear MASTER, since much has been wasted
whilst YOU waited daily
for self…to repent.
