Devotional: Daniel 3:17-18 : “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”
The fully displayed, intense power of a volcano cannot be seen before the eruption. Signs and indictors point to its pending arrival but cannot guarantee the time. Likewise, the bamboo seed lies “dormant” for years but grows rapidly in a very short period time to amazing heights. Though one may look upon this frame and judge my present stance as stagnant…they are not cognizant nor aware of the growth HE has planned for me…to break through this hardened crust of life. Hence, HIS timing rarely matches my expectation nor is HE bound to show up at a given time to meet your assigned “deadlines”. But it will happen at the moment HE knows is best for your life. Be prepared then for HIS flood of fire flowing through you! Permit no one’s lack of vision to discourage you with “Where is your GOD?”
Remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? In Daniel 3:17-18, we read above that they knew the fiery power of JEHOVAH was a far greater power than that of King Nebuchadnezzer. Our faith comes from stating (to all who bring distractions and denials) as these three did, (to paraphrase) “HE can save us but if HE chooses otherwise, we still will not bow down to Worry or Fear or any other worthless god the world tells us to.” So it is with the proof of History in their lives and in mine as well that I stand in my circumstances and claim Victory! Manifestations’ display has no effect on HIS promises. What HE is building in me now will be visible when HE designed to be seen and when my will daily chooses only to speak encouragement and Victory. Amen and amen.
Victory’s Volcano
Though the wall around me crumbles yet this temple stands.
Though broken beyond kneeling…still my spirit soars.
For my hope is not in earthly things nor held by flesh.
Rather! All my expectations housed reside in JESUS CHRIST.
So my frame is drawn to stand whilst Pride remains.
So separate is my blessing from these fleshly hands.
Thus, Favor flood has found me outpoured by my LORD…
though its’ display remains within, soon all shall be revealed!
