Devotional: 1 Corthinians 12:12-14: “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many.” It is an exponential blessing to serve with fellow believers. The Joy we seek cannot be found in a singular service in front of the TV or radio when so many other opportunities for fellowship exist. Heaven is such a place of belonging where service for the Body is like breathing and there will be no lack of volunteers or energy for HIS work. Everyone has their assigned location and purpose as a “member” of the Body of CHRIST and sad is the one whose faith errantly seeks belonging – elsewhere. Amen and amen.
The Joy of Belonging
The thrill of entwining HIS gifts in our souls
has propelled this, HIS scribe, to continue.
With references written which glorify CHRIST,
thus GOD’s words -- penned before – guide my choices.
The message of Heav’n! ‘Tis consuming these thoughts
without Slight’s hesitation – delaying –
whilst HE buffers my frame from each audible phrase
which Self stains those – in range – of my voice.
But when HE combines several threads into one,
then the outcome displayed blesses many!
The fabric created is as HE designed
which adds warmth to such cords bound together.
Thus seek to be joined to the Body of CHRIST!
Stay not backwards – in shadows – retreating!
For HIS blessings extreme – every number – exceeds
and such grants us Joy’s view of…forever!
