Devotional: We are designed to confess sin and rest in HIS finished work. This does not mean we do nothing nor does it infer that we remain prostrate constantly. Unless HE directs, of course. Did not David arise after his child had passed on…ending his time of grieving, fasting and praying? We must give HIM our time and attention DURING worship time. Then we need to stand…in awe of HIM who birthed us for HIS purposes. Yes, we then need to rise and go out…to preach the GOOD NEWS of Calvary! Amen and amen!
Awesome GOD
I stand in awe of HIM
when HE has fueled my frame
with strength.
This soul walks cleansed from SIN
because of JESUS’ NAME.
Thus, prostrate am I found
when self believes The Lie
from Hell.
No joy in me abounds
because the choice was mine.
Since HIS strength conquered Hell
this servant cannot here remain…
since I believe that “self”
should stand and worship JESUS’ NAME!
