The Lord willing, Pastor David Wilkerson will be in South Africa for just a few days and we are honoured to have him and his son, Pastor Gary, address a conference here at the mission.You would probably have been blessed by "The Cross and the Switchblade" book and film about the ministry of Pastor David Wilkerson, who is also the founding pastor of Times Square Church, New York City.Pastor Dave says in his newsletter regarding the worldwide conferences for pastors in 2004: "I’ve been preaching for 50 years and I’ve come to learn as well as to share. In all of our meetings to pastors, we’ve seen great encouragement; many who are hurting, many ready to quit the ministry, leave the pastorate. …He has truly given me a heart and burden for pastors. And this has been birthed in prayers. KSB Ministers' Conference 2004"Reviving your passion for Christ"(Summary of sermon by pastor David Wilkerson)"The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah"Gen 18:16 ...Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbouring cities were exceedingly sinful before the Lord. They declared their sins openly. Violence was rampant, and their sexual perversions were not hidden. Their sin reached unto heaven and God could no longer keep silent. God decided to destroy them, but he was looking for someone to turn away His fierce wrath from them. Our society today has surpassed Sodom and Gomorrah in sin. God's judgement is surely coming, even as Billy Graham once said that, "if God does not judge America, He will have to apologise to Sodom and Gomorrah."Lot lived amongst them, but was no testimony. His only concern was for his own safety. He wanted to be saved, and considered the others beyond hope. Many Christians today live similar lives. They consider the homosexuals, rapists and murderers beyond salvation. They pray God's judgement upon them, and not for their salvation. God found Abraham, who interceded earnestly before God for Sodom and Gomorrah. He pleaded with God that they might be spared and come to repentance. Lot however, even after being delivered out of Sodom and Gomorrah, still only sought his own safety. He did not even pray for his wife or children.Paul writes to the Corinthians, in 1Cor 6, that neither adulterers, effeminate (that is homosexuals and lesbians), fornicators, murderers, etc. will inherit the Kingdom of God. But then he writes to them, "... such were some of you, but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus ...". Jesus saves to the uttermost. He can lift the biggest sinner from the miry clay and change his life completely into a Spirit-filled saint of God. Abraham teaches us how we ought to pray for the wicked - not that they might be doomed and damned, but that they might come to repentance and salvation. He did not pray to God to spare them that they might continue in their sins, but that they might come to salvation.

KSB Ministers' Conference 2004"Reviving your passion for Christ"(Summary of sermon by pastor David Wilkerson)"Fire in your bones"KSB Ministers' Conference 2004Jer 20: 7 ...Jeremiah was called of God and knew the call on his life more than any other prophet in the Old Testament.Before he was made in the womb, he was known of God. He was anointed to speak the mind of God. God made him this promise. "I have made you a defensed, impregnable city, against the priests and all the people. They will fight against you, but will not prevail." Then, these amazing words. "Speak, lest I confound you before the people". No man was more sure of his calling, and God called him to speak of destruction and desolation, but if he should doubt, he shall be confounded. I.e. If you trust me you will never be confounded, but if you will doubt your call from Me, I'll confound you before men. This is crucial in today's world. I have been preaching for over 50 years, but still remember the day, time and place where God called me. I have never once doubted that call. If a person cannot say to God, "I'm in your will and your place", then you will be confounded. One needs to start right at home where the first call was. Don't waste your time in front of TV, but return to your closet and meet God again in prayer. Then enter the pulpit with God's Word, and every hungry person within a "100 miles" will come to hear you preach.There in prison while he was tortured, Jeremiah hits his low. He says that God had deceived him. He is tired of being mocked. All that pass by held him in derision. So Jeremiah says, "I will not make mention of His name anymore" - and he decided to quit. But why could he not quit? God's Word was like a fire, burning in his bones, compelling him to speak. God's Spirit came upon him and revived him.You might be in the same spot. God called you, but today you are discouraged and you need to return to your first calling - with "fire in your bones".

Guarding the Gates(first message by David Wilkerson at KSB Pastors' Conference 2004)22 March 2004Pastor David Wilkerson/ Wilfred Mabizela (Zulu translation)Jer 33:19-22Never before have we needed men of God in the pulpit as in these days. We've outsinned Sodom and Gomorrah 25 years ago already.God said, if you could break my covenant with the night and day, then my covenant with David can be broken.v15: The first part has been fulfilled in Jesus. In the second part, God promises that He will never lack ministers (Levites) to minister before Him. In spite of all those who are quitting the ministry, God is still raising up His Levitical Priesthood.There are two streams, 2 concurrent types of priesthoods. Ezekiel prophesied that in the last days there'll be two kinds of congregations, preachers and ministers. There will be those who minister unto God. In Ez 40-44, Ezekiel has the vision of a great temple that was to be built. That is not a physical temple, because it stretches over lands and seas and mountains. He is talking about the church of the last days. He sees the church as having no boundaries.And the glory of the Lord is coming down on that house/temple. But Ezekiel saw a strange, horrifying sight. Despite the glory, a rebellious priesthood came forth. The Levitical priesthood were to guard and cleanse the gates of the tabernacle. Nothing evil was to be allowed into the temple.Ez 44:4-7. Here we find priests who defiled God's temple. Ezekiel is being warned by God what will happen in God's house. There is a type of priesthood, that ministered to the people's idolatry. The gates ought to be guarded. God has called you, pastor, to guard the gates of your church. Never let a wolf enter your congregation. Even tonight there are two types of pastors present here too.In 1 Sam 2: 27 we read of the unknown prophet coming to Eli, saying (paraphrased), "You've been disobedient to the Lord's commandment, and honoured your sons above God. There shall not be an old man in your house. Your sons will die soon." Then a strange prophecy which one could paraphrase as: "The one who will not be cast out of the ministry, will consume his days with grief." In other words, there will always be the same compromising type of preacher in the priesthood. Saul commanded 85 priests to be killed at Nob (1Sam 22). These were sons and grandsons of Eli. But Abiathar escaped to David, as the prophet prophesied. When David came to the throne, he had two priests, Abiathar, and Zadok. Abiathar is the Eli-priesthood. For a long time they seem equally anointed. However, in the end it was shown how he turned against God's anointed. There has been many ministers I've seen who have preached for years with anointing, but in the end they turn away. Why? There is one thing not settled - one besetting sin God has spoken to them about time and again, but they never settled it.Ez 44:9-12, shows us that, even though they are uncircumcised in their flesh, the Lord will still appoint them to minister in the House. They will go through the sacrifices, but, says the Lord, "I am not with them". It speaks here about men living in sin, with unclean hands and impure hearts, yet still minister to the people. However, God said that they shall not come near Him - they shall "bear their shame". What does God do to a man who compromises; it is the worst thing that can ever happen to a man - when the presence of the Lord is removed and the Holy Ghost departs, and nothing is left but death. If you want to know if you're that kind of priest, you can test yourself with this question. Have you been under the glory of the Lord for a long time, heard many sermons and were convicted, but now you can sit under God's word unmoved and untouched - no matter who preaches. There's no Holy Ghost anguish, but hardness of heart. God still leaves you to minister to the people, but every holy person will leave you and will be replaced with those who have their idols in their heart.Ez 44:15-16 The ministers, sons of Zadok, who were faithful, they shall minister unto God and His people, and guard the gates. The Zadok priesthood, will minister with "blood and the fat", (life and the best of everything). They will minister with the "fat" which helps the fire burn brighter. Are you of the Zadok priesthood?This is the covenant we have read of in the beginning of this message.This message is not to put you down but to give a loving warning from the Holy Spirit.(at this point an altar call was made where hundreds responded, kneeling before the Lord in the front.)
