The Encouragement Thread

I hope and Pray no one will hijack this thread and will leave it as I titled it. Do you have anything "good" to say that is happening or has happened in your life? or anything to lift up or encourage the Body of Christ? I have personally just "literally" almost gotten sick at times of all the downtrodden "a sense of being weighed down in body or mind" threads here.
We as Christians should have "something" we are grateful for we can post, if you have things your Grateful for please share them with all of us if you wish, and if you don't well please
just don't post here there are plenty other threads here to post on.

Well I will start out with I am grateful because today it's my anniversary, I have been married for 34 years to my first and only wife, I am grateful God has given me 34 years to be with the person I always dreamed about when I was a young child. I have been Blessed with A forgiving and Graceful God in my life, with a three wonderful children and three wonderful grand children a Business of my own and so much more including our health. God has Blessed my family and I beyond anything we could ever imagine, and he continues to pour out the Blessings, just when sometimes I feel our cup is running over he continues to find a place for more Blessings. We serve an awesome God that never seizes to amaze me in all he can do in our lives if we just seek him and serve him, thank you Lord for all you have done in my life and my family's life all these years, even in the bad times when I personally felt we did not deserve anything, you just continued to Bless us, you have always used Blessings instead of wrath to get our attention and I thank you Lord and Love you so much for being the best Father we could ever have.
Thank You Lord
Mr. Bill

You have something, dear brother, that the vast majority here on earth do not. I am very happy for you both, and I extend a heartfelt congratulations to you on your 34th anniversary. This thread alone is a wonderful testimony to the goodness of God - it is much better than a mere devotional someone can cut-and-paste from a secondhand source - because this is your life, you are living it now, and by the grace of God will continue in the same.

you have always used Blessings instead of wrath to get our attention and I thank you Lord and Love you so much for being the best Father we could have ever had.

Amen dear brother. Amen.

Hi MrBillPro...

What a wonderful thread and testimony!

This year, I married the #2 love of my life (only behind our Lord)! Mireya and I are extremely blessed to be united with the Lord. We were blessed with a lovely wedding ceremony and feast, and we enjoyed an extended honeymoon in four Caribbean islands and the jungles of the Yucatan. We look forward to performing the work of the Lord for as long as we can!

I've been blessed in many other ways (more than I can count). Most of all, I am extremely grateful for (and content with) everything that the Lord allows into our lives.

:-)

Congrats on the 34 years Bill. The Lord IS good.

I want to thank the Lord for the blessings he has given my family and I. He has always put food on my table and a roof over my head. He has helped me obtain a job/career that I love. From this job, I am able to bless many brother and sisters in Christ by hiring them on to do work for the company. At this time in my life, I believe that the Lord has blessed me with a Joseph anointing.

Nothing makes me happier while working in this position then to allow the Lord to work through me. I came from a position where I did get repremanded for speaking to people about the Lord, to a position now that has the full support of my employeers to "spread the Gospel", and I do.

I thank the Lord for th blessing of my family. We are 5 strong and are going to be growing more sooner then later.

Psalm 127:3-5

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Thank you Lord for your blessings of grace upon grace upon grace.

I am grateful for God's grace in my life.

I am grateful for His abounding lovingkindness.

I am grateful for God's provision each day.

I am grateful for His mercy that overlooks judgement.

I am grateful for Christ who appeased the wrath of God.

Thank you God that you died for a wretch like me :-)

I am grateful that God granted me repentance and saving faith on that frightful, black evening in February of 2001. I am grateful that it was God's mighty arm that vanquished the dragon's throne in my heart. I am grateful that in one glorious moment of time, I received sight, the flooding of marvelous light, the warmth of a Father's eternally bleeding love, a momentous shattering glimpse of God crucified that irrevocably altered the course of my life forever.

And I am grateful that this was not wrought by my own willpower, but by the awesome grace of a sovereign God Who thought it somehow undesirable that I should be cast into everlasting hellfire like a loathsome spider - which is all I deserve.

Oh, for the grace and glory of a good God! And I am so totally and utterly (words fail me now, brethren) grateful that I was somehow spared and redeemed from hell and elected to this redemption in Christ before the world was.

Our God is good indeed! And there is much to praise and thank Him for!

I was just thinking yesterday how many dear friends I have met in the past year and how some of those friendships have grown and proven to be so edifying to my own walk with Christ. I'm very grateful for the body of Christ and the members I am so privileged to know.

I'm also so grateful for my parents and brothers and sisters. It's an exceedingly great blessing to be where I am right now. I treasure these times with my family.

And there are also the wonderful lessons that the Lord has taught me this past year (ah, I'm in the yearly retrospective mood right now!). He is really faithful to purge out of our lives what is not pleasing to Him to conform us to His image. I know I have a long ways to go, but I sure am grateful for what He already has done.
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phil. 1:6

A wonderful thread...hope it continues.

Ro 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Mr. Bill,

Thank you for starting this thread. The Lord has been dealing with me that I need to be more thankful for the things that He has done for me - there are so many of them!!

First of all, I am thankful not only for my immediate family, but also for my extended family. If I use my family for examples of things here on SI it is because I admire them so much and they are such saints of God! I can't thank God enough for them. Instead of having bickering and uncomfortable times at family gatherings, there is nearly always fellowship in the Holy Spirit and love - something that has meant a lot to me in my walk with God. Even my two older brothers and my cousin, all at college, have been an inspiration to me. My Grandfather trained his daughters in the way they should go and I think I can honestly say that both of his daughters plus all six grandchildren are striving to follow God's will for their lives.

I am also thankful that the Holy Spirit chastens and convicts us. I am thankful that He still has the freedom to point things out in my life that need changed - praise the Lord for His love in that!

Mikah

Brother Bill, thank you for this. Maybe later I can add my great thankfulness ... I am thankful for this itself.
