video claiming it was a message on HELL by Joel Olsteen

Please be advised that the video one of your members posted a video claiming it was a message on HELL by Joel Olsteen, and it is showing Joel Olsteen preaching at Lakeside Church. It must be removed immediately. It is a lie. That is not even close to Joel Olsteen in voice or in mouthing of words or in congregation response. It is a complete lie.

That message is David Wilkerson preaching his message "Hell, What Is It Like?" which is taken from David Wilkerson's website. It is a sin to post steal from someone and claim it belongs to another and then advertise it.

Furthermore, David Wilkerson has a standing policy that absolutely none of his messages may ever be posted on another website other than his own websites.

Additionally, the posting on your website was taken and posted on PreachingTruth.com at:

This is clearly a sin of stealing.

which is completely false because this is NOT "real" preaching by JOEL OLSTEEN but rather by the actual preacher DAVID WILKERSON.

This website should immediately post a correction on that thread or delete it altogether. This is clearly wrong!

Lastly, I posted a message in TWO areas because I was not certain which was best, I did NOT post it in "every category" as you accused me - which is again your lie!

I think the point is, and I found it to be such, is that the video in question was humorous; very tongue in cheek. Obviously, Joel Osteen would have never preached such a message. Obviously, it would take another preacher to bring the truth of Hell to Lakewood Church. Are Christians to be humorless?

I was amused by the video. It made its point.

I don't think anyone familiar with either ministry is in danger of getting the two speakers confused.

As you can see this is not so, I hope you read that www.sermonindex.net has a special permission from Times Square Church to post their sermons on this site.

Most pastors are preaching to saved people.
Hence a message of hell is of little profit.
Encouragement ,inspiration and grace seasoned with reproof and rebuke where needed.

I certainly don't think you were threatened in any way and would hope you never feel threatened on any thread here on SI. I've certainly not found it to be the case.

The video was probably a mistake and who knows the motives behind the person who created it. I think they were probably just trying to make a point. With the birth of YouTube I think we can expect more of the same however and it will be a near impossible task to police copyrights.

I really was talking about how his name was mentioned on just a personal basis not sermons, sermons are letting others mention his name that are not even members here, I stand corrected and will say that on a personal basis Pastor Joel's name has been mentioned more here this week and I have a scratch pad to prove it. :-)
