For those of you who enjoy photography

For those of you who enjoy photography, I have begun a photo blog. I have been a photographer for several years prior to conversion, and have a strong desire now for my images to be useful to the community of believers.

My hope is that the photos will illuminate the journal entries and anecdotes which accompany them, so that the Lord may in some way be glorified.

Anyways, if photos are your gig, perhaps you'll be somehow blessed.

The pics of the gulls is fascinating, perhaps more so since our experience with them.

Last year we traveled by ferry from Swansquarter, NC to the Outter Banks, NC, traveling north, boarding another ferry. While on the ferry, gulls circled our boat. My sister, Ruthie, had brought lunch along for us to eat so we fed the gulls crumbs, tossing them into the air where they would catch it in midflight! Fascinating! Yes, fowl and beasts are fascinating creatures to observe. God has a wonderful imagination, don't you think? (One common creature I do NOT like are fire ants: they BITE! Come to find out that if you have them in your yard, they work as a deterent to termites! {{sigh}})

I've never come across fire ants (are they in Southern California) but I recall the first time I saw an ant about a centimeter long. I was used to tiny black ants, but the ants up in the mountains were huge. I understand some are nearly an inch!

Yeah, it is fascinating.

Fire ants are not an inch long in Mississippi. I never did measure one but they ar not tiny either.

They build mounds so when you drive through the countryside and see mounds in pasture fields, that is what they are. Man has tried to eradicate them but some city slicker usually will foul up that process.....too bad he has never been bit by them or...oh never mind, I am getting to be mean here...
