Well, happy new year everyone. May we all find God's grace for our days...

Bang on midnight here, the fireworks started. I live on the side of a hill so I had a wonderful view of other people sending their money up in smoke.

It was very pretty. Especially one which sent out a stream of large stars which quietly worked their way through the colours of the rainbow.

May the Lord give us His word and fresh courage for the first few weeks of this year, until we get our bearings.

There is a lot going on in the world right now, and there is no sign that anything is going to improve. We need childlike faith as never before.

May we learn how to lend to the Lord looking for nothing in return.

God bless you all, in whatever you face, knowing nothing is dark to Him.

My prayer for this year is that our understanding will be more clear as to why we have been apprehended and what is the hope of our calling.

I don't know about you, but I feel like I have just graduated from High School and I am trying to decide what to do with my life, what I should become. Let me speak this into spiritual terms. What is Christ doing with me? where am I going? what purpose is my existance? what shall I become?

Hopefully these questions will have some renewed meaning in the New Year.

May we learn how to lend to the Lord looking for nothing in return.
